Meet your guide in the morning at Piazza Castello, a grand city square in the heart of Turin that is home to a number of important museums, theaters and cafes. Set against the backdrop of the Alps, this beautiful city was the first capital of the Italian Kingdom back in 1861. These days, it's well known as the home of the Holy Shroud, Juventus Football Club and the birthplace of Fiat.

See Duomo di Turin (Cathedral of John the Baptist), which occasionally displays the world-famous Holy Shroud, commonly known as the Shroud of Turin. If not, visit the Church of San Lorenzo to see the next best thing: a copy of the shroud.
Walk over to 17th-century Palazzo Carignano, discovering the ground floor rooms where was born the first King of Italy and then, near the Art Nouveau-accented Mole Antonelliana, home of the National Museum of Cinema, the tour ends.
Descend from the lofty heights of the tower and head to the 17th-century Palazzo Carignano. Your tour then concludes near the Mole Antonelliana. An exceptional display of art nouveau architecture, the Mole Antonelliana is home to the National Museum of Cinema — the tallest museum in the world.

This walking tour was an excellent way to see many highlights of Turin and learn about the history of the city. Our guide Filovia may not have the correct spelling of her name was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the places we visited. She made the tour interesting and shared so much information with us. Our guide was great! she was very informative and since we were only a group of 4 we had very personal attention. There was so much to see the tour could have easily been longer. Our guide was so helpful she even recommended places where locals eat when asked ... We tried one and it was GREAT! Great way to get oriented on the city. Do this tour when you first arrive!

We would highly recommend this tour! Our tour guide was Emanuela, she was excellent! The Bicerin which is local favorite, coffee, milk and chocolate at Baratti and Milano was delicious, this was included in the price of the tour. Emanuel suggested Cafe San Marco for lunch which was amazing. The decor was absolutely beautiful, very historic.

WOW! What a fantastic time... we happened to be the only two that day, so we had a private tour with Fluvia..spelling might be incorrect...but she was amazing! Her knowledge of the city and its history were mind boggling...and because it was just two of us, we went off the beaten track just a bit...ending the tour with a complimentary coffee! We had a terrific three-hour walking tour and learned a lot about the city, some of its key buildings, and history. There were only four in our group, so it was quite relaxing and engaging. The Shroud of Turin was being shown publicly during our stay this only rarely occurs, but it was not part of the tour and required us booking it separately on our own.

The tour and guide were exceptional. We had no idea of Turin's historical significance. The palace is beautiful and nicely kept. We had the opportunity to see the Shroud of Turin even though it was a bit of a distance, but in the church. The cathedral was amazing! The coffee/ chocolate was a delight too.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide Emanuela was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. We learnt about Turins history but also about it's modern culture. She certainly made me enthusiastic to explore this amazing city. 10 out of 10!!!
