While you’re in port in Malta, explore this beautiful island on a private sightseeing shore excursion. With your own driver to chauffeur you around, you’ll see the best of this fabulous, world-famous travel destination. Discover the capital city, Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich with culture and history. You’ll see the Upper Barrakka Gardens and many other attractions while you relax in your comfortable private vehicle. You will also have free time to shop, eat or explore on your own.
Your tour will start with a drive to the town of Marsaxlokk, a typical Maltese fishing village with multi-colored fishing boats known as luzzus bobbing in the harbor.
Next, you will pass the picturesque rocky inlet of Wied iz-Zurrieq and enjoy views of the Blue Grotto and the tiny, rocky island of Filfla.
Continue your drive past Mosta Dome, one of the largest unsupported domes in Europe, famous for an outstanding event that took place in 1942.
You will then continue to Malta’s current capital city, Valletta, where you'll see the Grandmasters' Palace, former residence of Malta’s Grand Masters and today’s seat of Parliament.
You’ll then make your way to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, passing important buildings like the Auberge de Castille, home to the offices of the Prime Minister. At the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta's highest vantage point, you will have ideal photo opportunities of Malta's beautiful Grand Harbor.
Before returning to your cruise ship, your tour will end with a drive around the impressive bastions protecting Valletta.

The trip began with a visit to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, which lived up to the reputation of a laid back village. The tour continued to Valletta where we walked through the city and to the Parliament Building. We were fortunate to watch a 5D movie of Valletta which explained the history of the city. It was unfortunate to have several buildings being renovated and therefore not able to visit. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared the beauty of this historical city. Would recommend.

Elena was our guide and Andrew was our driver. They couldn't have been greater. We wanted to see the Red Tower at the other end of the island and the two of them timed it perfectly to get in all the other points of interest. We really got our money's worth for this tour and they were absolutely fantastic.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Malta and wanted to show off her homeland since we only had one day on Malta. The driver was a bit of a grump but she took care of him. She was also interested in where we were from so we had a lively discussion. The island's history is unusual compared to the rest of Europe, so having someone explain it in such detail was excellent. Malta is a lovely island wish the ship stopped here longer.

This excursion was exceptionally good, everything we were hoping it would be. Our guide Frederick was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and very easy to get along with. The car was cool and comfortable, Duncan the driver was courteous and accommodating. Nothing was rushed and we saw everything we were hoping to see. All in all, excellent value - we have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone visiting Valletta.
