Add a little excitement to your day trip to Victoria from Vancouver without blowing the budget. Take a scenic seaplane flight to the famous island for a leisurely day of sightseeing before returning to Vancouver by ferry. This is a small group tour with a maximum of 14 passengers.
Depart Vancouver harbour by seaplane for a scenic 35-minute flight over the Gulf Islands to beautiful Victoria. Enjoy panoramic views of the city and its surrounds as you get a birds eye view of from the sky. Splash down and spend the day exploring Victoria's quaint antique shops and cafes, as well as the historic alleys of the oldest China town in Canada.
At the end of your day in Victoria you will board a coach for a ferry ride through Active Pass and the Gulf Islands back to Vancouver.
This is a fantastic tour - unfortunately the day we went was a bit impacted by wet weather so the views over the city and the Straits from the plane werent as good as we hoped, especially in terms of taking photos. By the time we returned on the ferry the weather had cleared and it was picturesque sailing through the Gulf Islands late in the afternoon. This is a good package.

The plane was easy to find and easy to check in. It left on time and was super quick to get across to Victoria. We had a lovely day in Victoria then made our way to the bus station for the bus back. The bus was air conditioned and the driver was great, we got back to Vancouver in a few hours via the ferry and enjoyed our day!

After a shaky start .... bad weather and a replacement plane causing a delay in departure, we finally enjoyed a scenic, smooth flight as the skies cleared . Definitely the way to go if affordable as split option, with return by ferry / bus seemed an eternity , by comparison. _br/_ The tour of quaint, charming Victoria was excellent and made us aware, too late, we should have allowed for at least a one night stopover, as the shortened day, unfortunately , did not allow for the side trip to the iconic Butchart Gardens.

The sea plane was not to be missed and the views were fab.... don't forget your passport or driving licence as they require photo I'd_br/_ An absolute must

The connector bus rides from Victoria to the BC ferries terminal on Vancouver Island and from the BC Ferries Terminal at Tsawassan to Vancouver City were miserably long. I recommend a seaplane commute both ways and forget about the ferry.

The day started with perfect weather, what more could we ask for._br/_ The seaplane trip was excellent, landing in the middle of Victoria Harbour._br/_ We hired a driver who took us to Butchart Gardens, a distillery in Sidney and back to Victoria. _br/_ We then boarded a bus which goes with you on the ferry back to Vancouver._br/_ We left at 9am and were back at 7pm. a fantastic day._br/_ If you take the ferry both ways you would need to stay overnight.

The pilots did not give any commentary on the way there. The ferry was very enjoyable.

This was one of the most amazing trips I have ever taken. Early morning take-off from Vancouver, flying over the Victoria. I even managed to fit in a whalewatching tour before going back by bus and ferry. The scenery was amazing.

If you are looking for an experience where someone takes care of all the transportation this is it. I had a great experience taking a seaplane for the first time. When I checked in at the plane terminal they already had an envelope with my name on it for the rest of the transportation. The sea plane with very fun but wished the windows where cleaner so I could take pictures.

Trip by seaplane was great and a staff member the other end took us on a quick tour and showed us where a good walk was - really enjoyed Vancouver Island and the wharf and went to a fantastic restaurant the Blue Crab

This was a great experience! Everyone was friendly and super helpful. The only area for improvement was the return from the dock to our hotel. There was some confusion as to how close the bus would drop us off by our hotel.

This was a wonderfully scenic flight, on a beautiful sunny day! We spread our trip over two days, which was efficiently organised by Viator, and stayed in Victoria overnight. _br/_ In hindsight, we would have been better flying both ways, as the return trip is very long. This would particularly apply if it was to be done in a single day. There is so much to see and do in and around Victoria, and it would be a pity to have to leave to catch the bus/ferry mid afternoon._br/_ Five stars to Harbour Air for the level of service and the great planes._br/_ Five stars to Viator for their service and efficient communication._br/_ Three stars for the return trip, although the ferry trip is worthwhile .... the whole thing just takes too long!

Seaplane trip is a great experience_br/_ Victoria well worth a visit but we needed longer_br/_ Clear instructions and ferry ride was a great way to return. Beware long coach journey on arrival in mainland.

great flight, Visibility was good .Very smooth landing. Scenery was absolutely stunning. Seats are cramped, but you're on a puddle jumper.
Review by: stanleychambers, August 2016
No communication --- I had no way of knowing how to return by ferry. I spent over 100 on my own ferry fee and a cab ride home. I feel you took my money and left me stranded. I will never use Viator again.

This was a great way to see Victoria for a day. The seaplane flight had great views as did the return trip on the ferry. Everything operated on time and we were dropped off at our original departure spot after the ferry ride back to Vancouver.

Everything went like clockwork even tho we forgot to confirm with harbourair 48 hours prior to departure
Review by: Andreas H, August 2016
The flight to Victoria was excellent, the return with the BC Connector Bus on the ferry was long and somewhat tedious stops literally at every hotel in Vancouver. The booking process and the information details what, when, where to check-in or get further vouchers provided were a sheer disaster for a web based travel business in the 21st century - totally disintegrated and time consuming. Recommend to combind with whale watching in Victoria.

Fabulous trip - first experience of a sea plane and wasn't disappointed. Flying to Victoria spectacular over the many small islands. Retuned by ferry which was also a lovely trip but takes a lot longer. Would definitely recommend.

Review by: Alan M, June 2016
Seaplane was superb lovely views. Well worth paying extra cad 10 for reserved seat to get window view. Victoria lovely place but would recommend an overnight stay to get gardens and all other views in. Ferry is a nearly 4 hours with coach to down down compared to 30 mins in plane.
Review by: annemaree54, June 2016
The seaplane was a great experience and made getting to Victoria quick and easy. Well organised, despite at first worrying about how the connections would work, everything went smoothly. A great way to get a taste of Victoria in one day!

Fantastic experience on the sea plane. Lovely day in Victoria and return to Vancouver by ferry was very scenic. Everything ran very smoothly. I would highly recommend this trip despite the high cost.

Really enjoyee this tour. The seaplane flight was amazing with some great scenery. The ferry back provided a nice contrast but it is quite a long trip. Victoria is nice and the time on this trip is just enough to have a look round. I and #39;d recommend it.
