Enjoy a narrated cruise along the Potomac River to George and Martha Washington's estate, Mount Vernon. This is the only round-trip cruise to Mount Vernon from Alexandria, Virginia. The boat arrives to the Mount Vernon Estate at 12:00pm. The tour of the estate is self-guided and includes George Washington's tomb, an interpretive Pioneer farm, a new museum and education center, and much more.
Once your cruise departs, you will enjoy a relaxing, narrated, riverfront cruise along the historic Potomac River. After cruising for about 90 minutes and learning about the area's history, you will arrive at the beautiful Mount Vernon Estate, once home to George and Martha Washington. Here, you can explore the mansion, gardens and landscapes, George and Martha Washington's tombs, a distillery, a museum, and more. The return cruise will depart at 4:00pm and you can expect to be back in Alexandria around 5:30pm.
You are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time in order to check-in and board the vessel in a timely manner. There is a shipboard concession stand that offers water, soda, cold beer, wine, lemonade, iced tea, and freshly made popcorn. The ship is enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort on the lower level and covered with open-air on the upper deck.
