The authentic WWII Duck is a neat vehicle. However, not much legroom for someone over 6 feet, and the seats are a bit small in width for a heavier person - no way to fit two people side by side if you're big and tall. Those infantrymen were young, fit, and nimble.

If you have a limited amount of time in DC, this is a fun way to get an overview of the monuments. We did drive past the Lincoln Monument, the White House, the Smithsonian Museums, the Capitol Building, Arlington National Cemetery and into the Potomac River. We could see the Washington Monument from pretty much everywhere and while in the Potomac, everyone who wanted to had a chance to drive the D.U.C.K. We watched a plane land at Reagan National Airport which was pretty exciting. Our tour guide was great about sharing interesting facts and told us when great photo spots where coming up. We weren't able to get off the DUCK and it we didn't make many photo stops but it was a fun experience and I would recommend it for a quick overview of the city. Captain Bucky was great!

I love the Duck Boats! This was the greatest way to get an overview of all D.C. In a short time. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable about all the sights, museums and monuments. The best part was when we went into the Potomac river! He took us out into the middle, then let anyone who wanted to, drive the boat._br/_ I totally recommend Duck Boats for the first day you are here, they are way more fun than a bus!

The DC Duck tour was great to do on our first day to get a good lay of the land. My kids loved it and having the planes fly literally right over our heads was a huge plus! Captain Bill was extremely informative and we learned lots of extras along the way. This is a great tour for anyone coming to the DC area and I thought it was well priced for the 1.5 hours we were on the Duck.

My only issue is with the Viator company that arranged my tickets. NOT with DC Duck Tours, they were great. I could have simply dealt directly with DC Duck Tours and had no issues with the tickets and the cost was the same. The primary issue the online ticket was not effective, it required me to go to a ticket booth to pick up tickets and Viator gave me no instructions about picking up the tickets, I was lead to believe I had all I needed from what I printed online and all I had to do was show up and get on board, not so. _br/_ Regarding the Duck Tour itself, depending upon your expectations -this is a great trip or a good one. If you want to take great pictures then I don't recommend because the tour rarely comes to a stop. If you just want to listen to the Captain and enjoy the sites and his personal commentary, then this trip is spot on, I recommend it.

Great way to get in a quick tour of DC. Captain Franklin was very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Sitting on the left side affords more opportunity to get in pics without other riders getting in the way.

The DC Duck tour is a fun adventure. We had an excellent guide who was able to inform and entertain us. We drove by many of DC's landmark buildings and locations but, of course, the run into the Potomac was the expected highlight of the tour. The kids onboard even had a turn piloting the Duck! Planes overhead to/from DCA added extra excitement.

The tour itself is informative and it's fun going into the Potomac. One of the best parts is having the planes go over you on their way into Dulles. We were seated near the front and there was a fairly strong smell of gasoline from the engine. Unfortunately, we had a poor experience getting on the Duck. Although we had checked in with the desk 45 minutes prior and were at the Duck 15 minutes prior and our tickets clearly stated they could be used online, the captain insisted they could not and actually yelled at me. He blamed his colleagues at the desk for not doing their job. We had to go back in where they gave us a piece of paper and then he let us on. Even one of the other passengers apologized for my experience but the captain never did.

We booked this trip to go along with our young granddaughters thinking it would be uninteresting. What a mistake. We had a fabulous Captain who drove by many historical sites. A great way to see parts of the City that the busses cannot go._br/_ The Captain was very friendly, welcoming, and quite amusing with his tales and stories of the sights._br/_ Well worth a visit. My only concern is the PA system on the Duck is not the best and remember we have a strange accent to locals as do you to us so we need to speak slowly so we don't miss anything. _br/_ Highly recommended.

This was our first time booking with Viator and it was a flawless. We rec'd a competitive price and the process was easy. This was our families first trip to DC and this tour was perfect...Captain Gorm was very knowledgeable and friendly. And patient. : Fun tour for the little people 6 year old kiddos and allowed us to see more than we could've done otherwise especially with a broken ankle. We enjoyed it enough that we'll likely book Duck Tours in other cities. :

My husband and I were visitng for a 2nd time in 2 years, but more importantly with his Mother who hadn't been there since 1972! We've been on duck tours all over the country and this one was just as wonderful as all the others! Our captain was friendly, personable and most important very knowledgable regarding the historical sites around DC and Virginia. Had a great time on this trip Captain Jim on the Lucky Duck was our guide. He was excellent very informative and took us to see lots of the sights despite a number of roads being closed due to a major event taking place in Washington DC that day.
