From the Capital of Government to the Capital of Tourism...enjoy a one day trip by rail from Washington DC to New York including sightseeing, dining and shopping. A double decker bus will wisk you around town to see all the sites NY is famous for while your one price trip includes a 2 course VIP lunch at a local Times Square restaurant. Kids will enjoy seeing the Empire State Building, United Nations, Apollo Theater, Rockefeller Center, Battery park with views of the Statue of Liberty and so much more.
With a mid morning arrival, its just a few blocks to pick up your included tickets for a memorable double decker hop on hop off tour of New York and Brooklyn. Pick from a variety of loop tours. Stay on the bus or hop off at the stop of your choice. There is something to do at nearly every stop. Our museums, observatories, theaters, zoos, boat rides all are everlasting fun even if you've experienced them before. Children and adults will enjoy the famed WWII aircraft carrier, INTREPID, and its new space shuttle exhibits or experience the new One World Trade Center Observatory with a stop at the 9/11 Memorial Pool. A short walk from there is the American Indian Museum and Fraunces Tavern - which served as George Washington's headquarters during the Revolutionary War.
Stop in front of the Stock Exchange and across the street at the historic Federal Hall built as a Customs House in 1842 but was the earlier site of George Washington's inauguration as the first President of the United States.
With all this touring you'll be ready for a hearty VIP lunch at a local Times Square restaurant. From Times Square it's just a few blocks to the original MACY's flagship store and maybe some souvenirs. With tired feet walk just 3 blocks to Pennsylvania Station for the return trip to Union Station, Washington DC.
The Downtown tour could have been so much better, had we had a tour guide, not a self promoting I play birthday parties and barmitzvahs star gazing I think that was Ben Aflack in that black SUV Sir Anthony Hopkins lives 2 1/2 blocks that way hack. Granted, the guy was nice and amiable, but totally a whack job. I expected more from a Grey Line tour. We gave up and took cabs, which is an experience in itself.

Day and tour was good but was rushed. Wish we had moe time to explore getting off the tour stops. Tour buses should run longer into the evening.
