Bearizona Drive-Thru Wildlife Park

Williams, United States of America

During your Grand Canyon vacation, see bears, bison, big horn sheep and more at the family-friendly Bearizona Drive-Thru Wildlife Park. Drive through 3 miles (4 km) of Arizona wilderness in your own vehicle, viewing North American wildlife like black bears and Alaskan wolves! Plus, you can also tour Fort Bearizona, a walk-through area where baby animals and smaller species of wildlife can be seen up close.

Bearizona Drive-Thru Wildlife Park is an animal sanctuary in the amazing Ponderosa pine forests of northern Arizona, just 60 miles (96 km) from Grand Canyon National Park. Bearizona is the only park of its kind in the southwest United States and is the perfect location for your next family adventure!

In the comfort of your own vehicle, drive through Bearizona to see North American animals in a wilderness environment. Catch views of Rocky Mountain Goats, American burros (a type of donkey), majestic Brown Bison weighing up to 2,000 pounds (900 kg), Big Horn Sheep, Dall sheep (native to Alaska and Canada), stealthy Alaskan Tundra and Arctic Wolves, majestic white bison and, of course, the gorgeous black bears. The drive-thru portion of the park is approximately 3 miles (4 km) long, takes approximately 45 minutes and includes the use of a GPS device that will guide you through the route.

After your drive, get out of your car and visit Fort Bearizona, a walk-through area where you can stroll along the winding paths and watch the antics of the park’s baby animals and smaller species. Fort Bearizona is also home to the amazing High Country Raptors free-flight show, where you’ll learn about birds of prey and see them fly directly over you!

Bearizona promotes conservation and preservation through memorable educational encounters with North American wildlife.

Bearizona is a great place, you get to see the animals roam freely as you drive your car through then you get to walk and see all the smaller animals in the park area.

Nice wildlife park, enjoyed the bisons walking next to our car and the important amount of black bears...

Being able to get so close to all the wildlife in a wide open area was phenomenal!!! Then to be able to walk around and see other wildlife was so much fun. There was a white peacock that hung out near snack bar, until toddlers went chasing after it.

The animals were out today and it was a beautiful day. If you go, be sure to take the Wild Bus Ride. The driver/tour guide gives a lot of insight that you can't get by doing the drive around. Our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the day at Bearizona!

Visited yesterday, fantastic experience for animal lovers. Wonderful to see bears enjoying life, roaming free and playful. Lots of other animals also. Staffordshire were very happy and friendly. Good to drive through and recommend taking their bus also. Marvellous. Pleased they are rescuing bears from being in bad places of captivity. Highly recommend

Very fun we drove through the park and really enjoyed seeing the animals. Then we rode the bus and got to see them up closer and told some history of them and their names. Watched the show about owls. and walked around the area where you can walkt the kids especially liked the petting zoo part.

We really enjoyed this park, they were doing some upgrades so the gift store and some animals were not available but it was still great. It looks like all the animals are well taken care of and everything was so clean. The drive through was great even in winter, the bears came right by our car. And the buffalo, goats etc was close enough to see with no problem. The walk through was great too, they had 2 baby cubs that were right by the fence playing. You can really tell that the people working there really loved their jobs. It was so great that I can't wait to go back next time we are near there.

We highly recommend Bearizona to everyone! Kids or no kids! You can drive thru 3 times, which on the 2nd time the wolves and bears were awake and active. It was starting to rain, just sprinkling lightly, and that seem to bring the animals out and unto the road in front of us. Though you're not allowed to roll your windows down for obvious reasons!, you are still able to take some good photos. The kids loved the petting zoo area, but because of the rain, there weren't very many out. The wilderness feeling while driving thru is beautiful! Extremely friendly staff, too!!!!

Not alot of animals out and about. _br/_ People stop when they aren't supposed to and drive super slow._br/_ I thought we would be able to interact with animals.

Absolutely delightful! What a beautifully designed and landscaped park! We enjoyed every minute, loved the walk-thru, great gift shop, and the drive-thru was more than expected with animals everywhere! I hope that a nice restaurant will appear soon because the entire ambience makes it too lovely to leave. Thank you for such a unique experience and I have shared our day's experience with all friends and family, especially those who live in Prescott, and like us, had never been there. Sally Montana

I was expecting something completely different. I was expecting to see the bears in their natural habitat._br/_ I was not expecting to see three month old cubs crying for their mama, because they were taken away from their mother. And for what... For the bears to grow up, to be more Tamed? So we can have the chance to see bears!! Disgraceful. Maybe we should leave the bears in the wild, let them live their lives out in peace. Should we put our entertainment before the welfare of those animals. And I would not even given Bearizona a one star rating, but I had to, so I could submit review.

Such a neat little wild life park tucked in the forest between Williams, AZ and the Grand Canyon. The first part is a drive through of the park where animals....sheep, wolves, bears, bison....roam free. At the end of the drive through is a zoo. You can walk through the zoo and see other animals, have a snack and watch a raptor show. The show was very informative and fun highlighting owls and hawks. This is a great place for adults and children.

What a place...would recommend for all animal lovers. It's like being on safari...in Arizona! You can drive through at your own pace (we let other cars pass us) and spend as much time watching the animals as you like. There is both a walking section and a drive-through area. One of the coolest things I've done in a while. Don' think twice, just book it!

I was traveling with my grandsons 9 and 15. This park is like a drive-thru zoo. We are from San Diego and we know about zoos! They got some wonderful close up pics of bears and wolves. They also really enjoyed the raptor program.

Awesome. I'm not sure what exactly to expect at Bearizona but it was beyond my expectations. It's not your average zoo. The wildlife was literally up close and personal. Right up to the bear that walked up to my car. Highly recommend

We loved this experience with nature. The children were amazed to see the animals walk in front of our car. You could almost reach out and touch them. It was very natural and well protected. The raptor show was amazing and we spent awhile watching the baby bear antics in the walking tour. We hope to return when they ahve added even more to the experience.
