Spending the morning on the infamous Hardknott and Wrynose passes, and even more remote parts of the Lake District, with time to take in Britain's favorite view at Wastwater, the deepest lake in England. Do some sightseeing and head east to view the magnificent scenery around Ulswater, including the Aira Force Waterfalls with this guided outing.
This private tour starts in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Windermere and heads to the dramatic Langdales and onto the infamous Wrynose and Hardknott passes. After ascending over the passes you continue on to Wastwater, the deepest lake in England, and voted Britain's favorite view.
The next stop is for lunch at the Fox and Hounds at Ennerdale Bridge, a community owned pub (at own expense). After lunch you will continue on through Buttermere and ascend Honister Pass passing by the famous Honister Slate Mine through Borrowdale and onto Keswick.
On the return to Windermere, visit the 4,000 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle and the Aira Force Waterfalls, then drive alongside Ullswater, the most beautiful lake in England, before ending the tour back in Windermere after approximately 6 hours.
