Enjoy a night in Xi'an feasting on a Dumpling Banquet, whilst sitting back and relaxing to a cultural Tang Dynasty Show filled with vibrant costumes, colorful dance and traditional music that have graced the region for centuries. This is a wonderful introduction to this ancient city.
Your evening experience in Xi'an begins with a feast of local dumplings, nearly 20 varieties that are steamed and stuffed with a delicious assortment of vegetables, meats and seafood. But the banquet is only the prelude to another feast for the senses. You'll experience the local color and pageantry of the Tang Dynasty Show. The performance showcases the music, dance and colorful costumes that have graced the region for centuries.
The dinner and entertainment lasts for two and half hours and will fill a memorable evening in the walled city.
Large assortment of dumplings but pretty average. The show was OK. Please keep in mind, you will not be moved to the seats in front of stage. You will watch from your banquet table. Didn't feel it was worth the price.

It's really touristy. The food was great, maybe a little cold by the time it gets to you, but the wide assortment of dumplings is impressive. I could have eaten a little more though. The show was nice, the singing and dancing was great, just some irritations with cell phones ringing and people taking pictures. You need to make sure you get a good seat though, a lot of the seats are not tiered and if someone tall sits in front of you its over. The tour company itself was nice, they picked us up and dropped us off, we probably could have set it all up ourselves but we only had a day in Xian and we did not want to miss anything.

Be prepared for a wonderful culinary experience and bring your appetite to the Banquet. No problem staying awake for the Show which has marvelous, colorful scenery, dazzling costumes, terrific live music and lots and lots of energy.

When we arrived at the original restaurant, our guide said that the restaurant and show had been cancelled due to an error and we ended up driving around in rush hour traffic to be taken to another restaurant and show. It meant we only had about 20 minutes to eat our meal and we felt very rushed and did not enjoy the experience.

Okay, so it's a tourist attraction. But it's a really entertaining one! Colorful costumes, beautiful cast, some fun surprises not going to spoil it!...all in all a very pleasant evening and definitely photogenic. Noticed that one of the numbers mirrored a statue in town...gives it some authenticity as to the rest of it...I have no background in Tang dynasty so I have no idea how authentic any of it is. The dumplings were fun, the staff trying to sell mementos tableside was not too pushy, all in all a very good experience.

I loved the show. However, for the dumpling banquet I was seated in the upstairs floor. By the time they took me downstairs where the show took place there was hardly any room left. Eventually I was seated towards the back and had to raise my self out of my chair several times to take a glimpse of the wonderful show.

Worth the price of admission for the splendors of the TANG DYNASTY show alone! The dumpling banquet was good, but I was wanting for more food later in the evening. Nevertheless, the show was amazing and gorgeous. The Chinese Tang dynasty was at the peak of Chinese art and culture - and boy did it show in this show. About 50 mins in length but with gorgeous live music, beautiful sets and, endless dancing! Not to miss if in Xi'an!!!

Show was excellent! What a great way to get immersed into the ancient culture of Xi'an. We did this on our first night in Xi'an and it was a great way to get acclimated. We were not crazy about the dumplings (personal preference). The dumpling restaurant does provide a wide variety of dumplings and there is something for everyone's palate. The restaurant has been around for 150 years.

A must do when in Xi'an! We had a lovely night out - delicious dinner and great show. The Tang Dynasty Show is a historical and cultural glimpse into China's past expressed through music and dance. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

The Tang Dynasty Show is superb and definitely worth going to. The Dumpling Banquet was good but I did not go to the one at the theatre itself.

We ended up with a private tour. Our driver/guide was great, the dumplings delicious, and the show fantastic! The costumes were amazing and we enjoyed the dancing. It was the perfect way to spend the evening, and the door-to-door service made it so easy.
