Visit the two most popular historical sites of Xi’an on this full-day tour of the ancient city wall and the Terracotta Warriors. Explore Xi’an’s old city wall, both on foot and on a bike, as your guide leads you around its different sites. Then visit the World Heritage-listed Terracotta Warriors of Emperor Qin, the first emperor of China. This historical tour also includes a home-cooked meal at a local family’s home.

After you are picked up from your hotel, you’ll be driven to the Xi’an city wall, one of the best-preserved, oldest and largest ancient defense systems in China. First, admire its different sections on foot. Your guide will take you on a climb to the top of several watchtowers, including the Zhenglu main tower and the Jianlou arrow tower. From this height, enjoy beautiful views of the city and the moat surrounding the wall while your guide shares with you its history and legends.

The exciting part of your tour is up next. Venture away from the crowds as your guide leads you on a 90-minute bicycle tour around the whole wall. Then, after working up an appetite, enjoy a family-style lunch at a local family’s home!

Your satisfying meal will be followed by a visit to the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Wander around the different exhibitions featuring more than 100 artifacts from the mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, and see the Terracotta Army of Warriors and Horses, an incredible collection of life-sized terracotta sculptures. Your guide will tell you about the history and significance of this popular Xi’an attraction and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We had a great day with our tour guide Faye. She was knowledgeable and guided us through the warriors and gave us tips on how to manage the crowd. Faye helped us order popular local dishes at the restaurant which was delicious and then she organized our biking on the wall around Xian. After a full day we were delivered back to our hotel.

An impressive experience to the Terracotta Warriors.The home-cooked Chinese lunch in a local familys home also very nice experience, good food and some way to experience the local cuisine. Our tour guide, very experienced and fluent in English and very knowledgeable about the warriors and her city - Xian. We didn't like too much the bike tour. Bikes kind of old. We could have avoided that part of the trip, but in general very happy with the booking.

Although booked a group tour, we were the only one's on it so very happy for the guaranteed trip. Our guide Michelle was very knowledgeable and helpful in navigating the crazy crowds on the May 1st Holiday and was patient as we took thousands of photos. The Warriors are magnificent and the archeological work and restoration facisnating. Biking along the city wall was also a wonderful way to end the day.

The best way to see Xi'an! We really had so much fun on this tour, from start to finish! Our primary objective was to see and learn about the Terracotta Warriors and we were so happy we did this in a small group. Our guide was amazing and explained to us about the significance the warriors had to Emperor Qin. The bike tour around the Xi'an city wall was great as well - such a cool way to sight see!
