Missed the bus but had a great time with discounts into many places!!

Very useful and good value for money. A choice of many prime attractions, the hop-on, hop-off bus tour and tour book were helpful in planning the visit. Highly recommended!

Great way to get introduced to the city of york. Takes an hour or so to do hop on/off and then it's great to go back and explore places in depth with the york pass. Walk the city walls, do a free walking tour, definitely do the chocolate factory museum and tour. Visit Clifford's tower

Great way to see the city! So much to do in just two days. My highlights were the hop on hop off bus tour, York Minister, York Dungeon, Fairfax house, and despite the hype and long lines Jorvik was just kinda meh. City boat ride was nice!

I enjoyed visiting the York Cathedral and the Chocolate Story. I spent too long time in these sights so I couldn't make so much use of this York Pass. York was a great place to visit and I missed to do a lot of things.

I really made the most of the 'York pass'. I set out from my accommodation in time to catch the first HOHO bus which left at 0900. I did a circuit, the commentary was excellent, before going to The Yorvik centre, which opened at 1000 a.m. I enjoyed it but it was very different than I expected and not as extensive. From there, I walked to the York Dungeons. This is mostly play-acting, unlike Edinburgh Dungeons which include many medieval exhibits, as well as acting. Best enjoyed with youths I think! Then I visited York Castle museum and Clifford Tower. After lunch, I went on the 'Yorkboat', then a visit to the museum in the grounds of the old Abbey gardens, to see a viking exhibition. I might have done other things too, but can't remember now! Finally, I went on the Ghost bus tour, which was not included in the York Pass but was thoroughly enjoyable! Made even livelier by about 30 school children on the bus! The actor obviously loved his job, having all the girls screaming with 'fear'!! There is so much to do in York! So glad I went and recommend it, especially for families of older children. As a solo traveller, I enjoyed seeing others having fun too!

Awesome pass as you get access to a lot of places, definitely worth the money!

This is a fantastic way to see York. I would recommend getting on the Hop On/Hop Off Bus with your voucher and taking the length of the tour to the visitor center first to receive the York Pass. Then start the tour again stopping where you wish. OR start at the visitor center getting the Pass and boarding the bus. We wasted some precious time by doing the complete bus tour plus the part of the bus tour that it took us to get to the Stop 1 for the beginning of the tour. Then we didn't have enough time to take full advantage of the York Pass and missed some sites that we wanted to see.

We visited several venues and definetly got our money's worth. Castle Howard was our favorite and expensive without the York Pass.

Value for money, should surely get one if you are visiting York.

So much to do that 3 days were not enough._br/_ Super atmosphere and certainly worth another visit and Pass
Review by: Jenn13, March 2016
It is a little hard to find the information center to collect the passes but once we had them it was well worth it. We were able to do the chocolate story, York Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum, Roman baths, York Minister and Treasurers House in 1 day! Obviously more time was spent at some than others but a very good value.

The York pass was good idea but even though the passes were activated by staff one or other kept not working when scanned at place we were visiting. we went back to tourism shop several time to get new card etc but the places we visited said this often happened that cards would not scan.

Very enjoyable trip to York. We had a three day YorkPass and made full use of it.
Review by: Stephen B, July 2015
The attractions in York are excellent and we enjoyed all our experiences. The major problem we had was the lack of quality signage to give directions to those like us who need to walk between attractions,_br/_
The maps used are sometimes a bit unclear as to street names and we found our selves having to ask for directions many times.
Review by: Julien R, April 2015
We made fairly good use of the York Pass because York is a small city and fairly easy to get around, however some places are, even with the assistance of locals, well hidden and very hard to find. I am not sure that we saved any money by purchasing the Pass as we didn't get around all the places that we planned. If we returned to York, we would not buy the Pass again because having purchased it, we felt we needed to make best use of it, rather than 'going with the flow' and enjoying each experience.
Review by: Simon A, April 2015
Very poor, a number of the attractions were only part open either due to being broken down or something else going on at venue. So buying these tickets worked out more expensive than buying them singular for the ones we visited.
Review by: Lisa M, March 2015
This tour was brilliant but I would advise getting the 2 day pass as each attraction that we went to lasted about an hour and we wished we were able to do more...when I go back I will get the two day pass and do much more. Good value for money though the york dungeons was the best attraction by far!

IT WAS GREAT HAVING ALL THESE TICKETS IN ADVANCE AND WAS WELL WORTH THE PACKAGE. YORK HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER. I DID AS MUCH AS I COULD IN THREE DAYS.

Our first visit to York and there will certainly be more! We stayed in lovely Dean Court Hotel so central and opposite the Minster. The YorkPass proved to be invaluable, first used at the York Museum to see the reconstructed head of King Richard iii, a wonderful sight. We then used it in a variety of shops and restaurants getting discounts.

Great value for money, went to 24 museums and attractions in the three days and saved over £50 in admission fees. I also got discounts in restaurants and shops. if you are visiting Yorkshire and planning on visiting lots of attractions this pass is absolutely essential.

I purchased both a two day Yorkshire Pass and a fifteen day Great British Heritage Pass. Most of the attractions outside of York that I wanted to visit were covered by both passes.

We used the pass on a weekend visit to York. It was definitely worthwhile but we very disappointed that, despite the boat trip being flagged up as an important item in the publicity, it could only be used on only 1 of the 50 sailings a day - and that was at a very inconvenient time! 7.30pm. None of the guided walks were included either. On our return journey we used our pass to visit the Deep in Hull which was a bonus.

All of these passes are great. It saves you money. We had a one day pass and managed to see just about everything we wanted to. Wish we had been in York one more day.

Would come back later in the year as there is so much to do and see and not enough time to fit it all in. Stayed for weeekend in the dairy guest house which was excellent and recommended, will walk the city wall and visit stately home on return visit in the summer. Beautiful, quaint city

But we visited other attractions using the pass too. well worth the money and really easy to collect from the train station information centre.
