This was a wonderful day with plenty of time to explore Lucerne . The town is picture postcard material with lovely restaurants medieval history and the beautiful lake _br/_ I would not recommend this tour on a Sunday as the shops are closed and there is 6 hours to fill in without shopping but apart from that highly recommend this tour

Great day trip out of Zurich. Plenty of time for looking around, sightseeing, taking in the sights and shopping too. Enjoyed the visit to Lucerne and look forward to a return visit. The meeting spot for the return journey is convenient and easy to find near the train station. I recommend the day trip for those looking for opportunities to explore Switzerland.

Took this tour in December. Our guide Jorge gave commentary along the way in Spanish and English. Good story and he pointed out interesting spots as well as history. The first stop at the Lion Monument was very brief, but adequate. We were then dropped off at their offices in old town, which turns out are a series of watch and souvenir shops owned by a single company. There you can use the bathrooms without paying a fee. Then we were turned loose for 6 hours on our own. This is both good and bad - if you like a lot of time you can take short 1 hour or long 3 hour cruises on the lake and wander around, or you can get bored. We elected to head back to Zurich on own own by train rather than wait for the bus because the latter was our case, even after taking a one hour lake cruise. Check your vouchers because we had prepaid for the lake cruise but were not given the tickets at the starting point in Zurich which we should have, so Jorge needed to call back and then issue us tickets on location. If you go in December as we did and are looking for Christmas markets, don't settle for the little one in the train station. There is a much larger and more traditional market in the Franziskanerplatz just a few blocks away from the station. All in all a pleasant trip, but we found six hours to wander Lucerne on our own was too long.

The Lucerne City Tour is really good. I guess it depends on numbers, but our tour included two other tours, to Rigi and Mt Pilatus. Our tour guide Denise was knowledgeable and a Lucerne resident, so had special insights to share. Her day was made more difficult trying to manage the various groups and keep people on time.

We were disappointed that at the end of the Lucerne City Tour, we had to wait for an hour before our tour guide would appear again. She did not actually give the reason why she had been late but simply mentioned it was due to the traffic jam. Even if she could not come in time, the same tour bus should have arrived at the targeted place where we were all waiting. Not until the lady tour guide had come to the waiting spot, she started to call and find out where was our tour bus. Unfortunately, there were 2 parties in the same tour bus had to rush back to Zurich for taking a flight.

All this tour offered was a bus ride to Lucerne. There was no guided tour-we were left to fend for ourselves. The city is beautiful and I would recommend visiting by taking a train from Zurich and save yourself some money.

We were on a bus that was doing other tours so a bit confusing about who got off where. Our guide took us to see the lion of Lucerne which was beautiful. We then had nearly 6 hours on our own which was great as you could take your time and absorb the atmosphere. Had time to cruise the lake but unfortunately the day we went it was quite cold and overcast but it was still a pretty cruise.

I LOVED this tour for so many reason buts mostly for the long period of time I had in Lucerne to roam around, take pictures, take in the scenery, and NOT worry about rushing back to a bus. Lucerne is a marvelous place to lose yourself in. It's fairly easy to find your way around once you orient yourself to what's on both sides of the river than runs through it and there are endless gems to be found in this wonderful place!

i took the Lucerne day tour which gave me about 6 hours free time there to roam around. I roamed around the Old Town area, and found this town, with its cobblestoned streets, heritage buildings and bridges to be delightful and enchanting. There were lots of great cafes too. I highly recommend visiting Lucerne as part of the Swiss experience.

Firstly, we have to wait for other group for Mount Titlis, waited about 35 mins in bus terminal._br/_ As the group are large, tour leader have problem managing, high chances of dropping out of the group if you don't follow closely._br/_ The tour indicated 6 hours, that is the time you spend in Lucerne, including the time you travel and wait for coach bus return from Titlis, the total time for this tour is around 11 hours._br/_ They only bring you to Lion Monument, the rest you have to explore yourself .

The trip from Zurich to Lucerne was very nice and the guide was knowledgeable. However, we were left in Lucerne at a watch shop which was suppossed to have restrooms and sitting area to be available during the 6 hours free time in Lucerne. The restrooms were dirty and on the second floor. Also there was no sitting area to use at the end of our free time. It appeared to be merely a way to get us into a store that gave kickbacks to the tour company.

Luzern trip was excellent, the tour lead was a teacher before and he was fluent in many languages, so explained the tour in great details. His photography was good as well, took nice photos of us on my camera for remberance. Boat trip was quite relaxing with photoscenic views of mountains, blue sky, lovely weather. Viator had organised it well._br/_
Outdoor eating places were fantastic. I will recommend the trip to anyone, everywhere there were spring cool water on fountains where we filled our plastic bottles. Water was so tasty coming from top of mountains, we hated any soft drinks.
