you cant hear because the guide on the bus is so loud in german. he talked the whole time. anything we could hear was very short on info.they don't tell you what the stops are. it was the worst hop off and on bus I have ever been on and we have been on many. I think Barcelona being one of the best.

We joined the Red Bus tour at the cruise terminal, the voucher worked great. We did a full ride around first to see where to get off. We stopped at the market for a while then returned to the bus. Next stop was for the miniature railway village and there we spent almost 3hours. You can walk back to cruise ship from here if you wish. Earphones on bus provided English commentary. Worth the cost of the tickets.

Busy, busy celebration day in Hamburg. Got a good start to the hop on tour -- but soon the tour circuit was cut short because of city-imposed traffic restrictions. The English interpretation of as we went along was spotty at best. But the informative map provided was helpful. When we hopped off where the route was going to alter, we asked out older, female guide ? for help in finding a nearby address for a restaurant. She gave us bad information. This caused us a long, unwanted walk in Hamburg never got to our desired foodie destination.

Dreadful tour...not enough information given by Viator, to allow us to pick up any of the buses. We were told by Hamburg tourist help to get on local bus number 111 which would take us to one of the tour stops. Then we went on a mystery trip for 45 minutes, with a driver not willing to tell us which stop to get off and when we managed to make him understand, with one of several attempts to show him the hop on hop off stop names stop names, he simply said you should have got off 'back there'. We were on a bus full of cruise tourist like us, who were simply abandoned. Also there was the confusion about what company the 'Red Tour bus' was as there appeared to be several. A waste of time and money.

I prepurchased my tickets for the hop on hop off bus. Viator said there was a bus stop at the cruise ship terminal. There are 3 cruise ship terminals in Hamburg and the one that our ship NCL Jade was docked at did not have a bus stop. We had to take a taxi to the central bus station to board the bus. Then we had to do the same to return to the ship. It cost us 60 Euros for the round trip taxi fares. If I had known this, I would not have even considered the hop on hop off bus. Not to mention that the bus terminal is over a half hour from the cruise ship terminal. I think I should be reinbursed for at lease the bus tickets. Viator did not provide the service as described in your ad.

Tour was very good. Directions on taking it incorrect. Tour gives a nice overview of city, architecture, museums, etc. Must tell driver when you want to hop off. Harbor cruise was interesting, great view of music center and philharmonic bldg., watch containers load/unload. But noon cruise was not in English as it was supposed to be. Directions say to give driver the voucher and s/he will exchange for ticket. Voucher must actually be exchanged at main starting/stopping point - the cruise harbor. Our very kind driver took us along to there to get ticket. This is rather inconvenient if I have to taxi to a starting point.

We had a hard time to have the tour in english. I am used to Hop-on Hop-off tour where you can just plug headphones and choose your language between 8 different languages. Sadly, this tour has a guy speaking and telling you live everything, so you have to ask directly if you want it in english and sometimes you're not sitting close enough to ask discreetly. Once, one of the guide was a little bit rude when we asked him to have it in english.

English-speakers...BE FOREWARNED. This bus tour IS NOT like other hop-on hop-off bus tours. One - the bus doesn and #39;t stop unless requested. Second, there are no headphones with multiple-language audio guides provided. The operators of the bus give the tour over an intercom in German first and then and #34;translate and #34; what they just said into English. I use quotes for and #34;translate and #34; because it and #39;s really hit or miss.

Excellent way to discover this wonderful city. We took the whole tour at once and then continued to the dock area to take a boat trip which we got at a discounted price from the Hop-on-hop-off bus driver. The commentary was in German but we were supplied with headphones and were able to select an English commentary, which was excellent and amusing!

It was Sunday so everything was closed. Thus, we relied on this tour to tell us a lot about the city. The driver spoke about 5 of the time in English and 95 of the time in German. Needless to say we got very little narrative. We asked before we boarded if the commentary was in English and were assured it was in both English and German. What we heard did not qualify. Totally dissatisfied.

Very poor experience. No recorded commentary and live guide had poor command of Englsih, but the most irritating thing is the buses have no Hop On Hop Off branding so 3 buses went by before we realsied we had to get on the Stadtour bus, which looked like a local service. No signage at the Hamburg Cruise terminal bus stop to let you know where to board. Would not recommend.

Good hop on and hop off that was pretty comprehensive of central Hamburg. A must do is including the boat tour. Worth noting that commentary was live with a guide in German and English which is a plus.

Being a solo traveler I enjoyed the scenery and the history that goes hand in hand. This bus stopped close to Miniature Wunderland which was perfect for me as my main visit to HB was MW afterwards I was able to walk to where the boat ride was waiting for my harbour cruise. Definitely recommended!

I booked on line tour on 15 july and to my surprise on 16th July when I tried to avail the tour, I was informed that tour on the envisaged route cannot be conductede because of blocking of roads according to pre planned activities. I was asked to avail it on 18 July which of course was not possible for me. The contact person at the bus told us that they do not knpow who Viator is and why did they book tour for you.My concern is that why booking of this tour was not denied when I booked the tour on 15 July

It was very good. One small problem - the guide's German commentary on the microphone almost drowned out the English commentary on the headphones. It was a really good way to get to see almost the whole city in just 90 minutes. Perfect for us as we only had one morning in Hamburg.

just beware that the driver and guide take a half hour break after every full circuit. So if you get on the bus one stop before the railway station you will then have to wait for half hour when it's then stops at the station. Excellent guide, giving lots of detail in English.

The trip itself was good but they did not accept any online tickets. So it was worthless for me having purchased the ticket through Viator. I searched for an hour for a place close by that would print my ticket. Did not find any and had to run from one officer to the other till they let me on the bus.

Not really the best tour. Nothing special about it. There were no comentaries in english in one of the buses. They didn't let me enter the bus without a printed voucher of my trip I booked it online which can be difficult to get specially if you are traveling and you are being mobile and spontaneous.

Tour was great. We saw much of Hamburg we wouldn't have seen otherwise. The tour guide was well versed and entertaining, although at times he was a little had to understand in German as well as English. I would definitely recommend this tour to others. Hamburg is great!

Took both the Hop-On-Hop-Off and Harbour Cruise. The tour covered most of the city and its worth taking. At least you know your bearing and the tour guide was OK but could be better since he spoke more in German rather than English

We bought what we thought was a 24 hour ticket and so redeemed at 3pm when we arrived expecting we could continue using the bus the next day. Not the case. We were told that the ticket is a "day" ticket not a 24 hour ticket. Very disappointing and had to re-plan our 2nd day in Hamburg.

Approximately 75% of the guided tour was in German, and only 25% in English. German customers were obviously enjoying all the jokes and comments, while the English-speaking customers did not understand anything. Sights were nice, but at some parts, I just fell asleep because I couldn't understand what was described.

bus stop three blocks from our Hotel. It was one of the best tours as far as getting a good look at the city. The included harbor cruise of our purchase was outstanding. We took the English version and the narrator was outstanding as to his knowledge of the Harbor and the volume of construction taking place in the area_br/_

This was very disappointing. There was minimal English commentary. However the worst thing was that they didn't stop where they said they would. People were asking to get off at places marked on the map as stops and they refused. This was at the Fish Market and behind the central bus station.
