Experience the spectacular Great Ocean Road on a full-day tour from Melbourne. About one hour into your journey, travel through Torquay, a beach town known for its surf culture and as the start of the Great Ocean Road. Next, enjoy a morning tea break at a beachside location before continue another hour to Kennett River where you take a short walk in eucalyptus forest to look for koalas and colorful parrots.
Further along, at the foot of the Otway Ranges, have lunch in the beautiful town of Apollo Bay. Then enjoy free time to explore the shops and marina or take a dip in the water.
Your next stop takes you into Great Otway National Park for a leisurely stroll at Maits Rest. A wooden boardwalk leads through lovely fern gardens and rain forest, with giant trees up to 300 years old.
Hop back on the bus to visit Port Campbell National Park, known for offshore rock formations such as the Twelve Apostles. Here you have the option to upgrade and take a 15-minute helicopter ride along the magnificent coastline. From the air, you get an amazing perspective on Gibsons Steps, the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.
Next, drive to your final destination, Gibson Steps. An area of cliffs on the south coast of Australia.
Your return journey includes a stop for dinner (at own expense) and stunning views of the lights of Melbourne as you cross the West Gate Bridge.

Fantastic sights to see. Our guide Katelyn was very good. Only 1 thing let this tour down and that was the choices on the lunch menu, not everyone likes Thai food, I think a better option would be people get their own lunch at one of the many beautiful shops in the Apollo Bay town. Absolutely amazed at the rare beauty along the Great Ocean Road, just awesome.

A very long day but SO worth it. I could go on and on about this tour but no words can describe the incredible experience and sights. Although the day is long and most of it on the bus, there were plenty of stops along the way. Some felt rushed but our guide, Jordan, from Go West Tours did a good job keeping track of everyone and made sure we kept to the tight itinerary. If you only have a day, I highly recommend the tour but personally, I wish we'd been able to spend a couple of days exploring this amazing coastline. Be sure you have a backup battery and storage space in your camera because you will take many, many photos!!

This is the perfect tour to take if you have limited time to explore the Great Ocean Road and don't want to drive. From the breathtaking sights, to the rainforest hike, to spotting koalas sing Please don't call me a ko-ala bear ..., this tour included so much. Of course it will be a long day but it was a fun day. Our tour guide/driver Jordan was awesome. He entertained us along the way with the history/background of the places we were visiting and had a great sense of humor. Jon, our driver/guide, was informative and entertaining. He picked us up, got us out of the city, down the Great Ocean Road and all the way back safely. Excellent job Jon! Amazing sights to be seen. This is a must-do activity. Only small change would be offering vegan options at the breakfast stop. Not a big deal. I always carry trail mix with me just in case no other options are available. The Thai restaurant we stopped at for lunch did a stellar job of delivering the food within minutes of arriving. We saw wild koalas, parrots, kangaroos along the way and stopped for an echidna crossing the road.

Pickup was a little late and the tour vehicle was VERY uncomfortable. I'm tall and had to sit sideways with my legs out in the aisle. Worst tour vehicle I've ever been on. The actual tour was good and the tour guide Locky was informative and friendly, however at the morning tea break he locked the keys in the vehicle and we had to wait over an hour for a lock smith to arrive and open the door. The lunch stop was okay, food average, but the toilet facilities were in an adjacent caravan park...no toilet at the restaurant! Other passengers reported that paper and towels were not available at most bathroom stops. The scenery and itinerary were very good and the highlight was the viewing of 12 Apostles. We made several stops along the coast for scenic views. Because to the late pickup and the delay waiting for a locksmith, we were quite late returning to the city....it was a long day!

Magnificient scenery, tour guide was most informative. It was a long day with our tour not ending until after 845 pm. Wish we could have stopped somewhere with a pizza option rather than in the middle of a town having only a Mcdonald's, KFC, etc.

Go West Tours.....ok first impression a little rough and ready around the edges, but added to the whole day, we had our guide / driver Kel who was absolutely super, she had such a happy demeanour and engaged with everyone, it is a very long day, and I mean long, so take advantage of rest room stops, two things here, make sure at the 12 Apostles base, you use the rest rooms, because there are no others at the other venues along the coast, and from my own experience.......it had a desperate choice!!! sure Kel will laugh at this, she was very understanding....all was fine.....the other point.......far too many people with those blessed selfie sticks, it was madness there.....so be warned....if you stop for lunch at Apollo Bay, make a two minute walk to eat your lunch on a beautiful beach....a fantastic trip, you see Koalas, rain forest and a memorial to honour the brave Australians.......just remember it is a very long hard day.

Excellent day trip, our guide was extremely friendly and informative. would highly recommend this tour. The only negative was the vehicle, it was much smaller than others we have been on previously with the seats very close together and leg room very tight. It didnt make for the most comfortable trip particularly given the distance travelled.

Really liked it! Although it was only 1 day, it didn't felt like I missed something. Have seen so much!!!_br/_ One thing I didn't like was the lunch, in my opinion really bad. But in the town where we stopped to eat was a really nice bakery where I bought something else. But everyone has a different opinion about food I guess.

We made a last minute booking for this tour and we were highly satisfied with the whole experience. _br/_ We were picked up from our hotel in Melbourne at our exact pick up time and we started off on the journey soon. The coach size is ideal with the number of people being about 25. _br/_ Paul E, our guide was very enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable. He kept on talking about various locations and spots as we neared them. _br/_ We stopped at cafe for lunch with was quite nice and they had taken care to cater to even Vegetarians like us. _br/_ We stopped at all the typical spots and even not so typical spots and had enough time for photos, for views and just enjoying the location. We never felt rushed into. _br/_ We would specifically like to mention our tour guide Paul E. We had been travelling all over NZ and this was our first journey in Melbourne and Paul was the first guide who made extra effort to know our both me and my wife first names and he remembered it throughout the journey. He did the same with all the others in the coach too. We can definitely say that our trip was more enjoyable with about half the credit going to Paul E for the same!_br/_ Keep it going guys! If you are going to do the Great Ocean Road, this is the company to go with. Small bus which gives you more personal attention. Our driver/guide Phil was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great stories and information throughout the trip. Trip and times well planned out so we were able to stay on schedule. The only thing I would suggest is for them to supply water.

Michelle F is an excellent driver and tour guide! If you get her for your driver your in good hands! Long day if your doing the Great Ocean Road Tour, but it is totally worth it. And the way things are broken down you really don't feel the long day. Sooooooo amazing to see the 12 Apostles in person, OMG it was awesome and a great tour. I loved it! A lot of flies though, be prepared for that one! Overall a great tour!

The Great Ocean Road trip was fantastic and a must if you are staying in Melbourne. Our guide Daniel was brilliant - he was informative and had a good sense of humour and seemed to make time for everyone on the trip. If I am ever in Melbourne again I will definitely do other tips with this company and hopefully have Daniel as our guide.

A fantastic day out. The length of the tour seemed daunting at first but the way it was structured with breaks throughout meant that it was never a strain. Special mention must go to our tour guide Paul who kept us superbly entertained all through the journey. We visited all of the key sites, even having time to stop for ice cream. It was a really good way to see GOR in a day.

It was an amazing day tour. We were picked up at 7.30am and dropped off around 9.15pm. A long day but full on with all that's promised. Spectacular views. I especially enjoyed the time with beautiful king parrots and koalas. Last but not least, our tour guide Damon is just awesome, he 's so friendly and fun and professional and we were lucky to have him. The mini bus was very comfy for this long tour. We are happy that we took this tour in our 4 day trip to Melbourne because it's well worth the time and money.

The tea break arrangement was warm and cozy which made a very happy start of the tour though it was basic and simple and it just was good. The program contents and the time of tour was just perfect. This was a great way to see the Great Ocean Road. Although it was 14 hours it didnt seem that long. Dave and his trainee Sam were wonderful guides. Dave is very knowledgeable and had great stories about the areas where we were travelling. His playlist was amazingly coordinated with what we were seeing even the koala song. Always enough time to see things - never felt rushed.

Superb trip from the friendly Hotel pickup to the sites we saw all day and the little extras. A great day out looking at varied and stunning scenery. Loved the morning tree on the beach, the tramp through the Eucalyptus forest and of course the stunning sea scapes. Well worth the day away from the bustle of Melbourne.
