You’ll be picked up from your hotel in the morning and taken to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, just 1.5 hours from Orlando. Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured marine animals, this fun and educational attraction offers a variety of activities for the whole family.
See Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, river otters, stingrays and sharks. Feed a stingray, watch a dolphin show, and have your photo taken with a dolphin. You can also take a behind-the-scenes tour of the animal hospital and visit the theater to watch footage of the aquarium's team rescuing and treating injured animals.
You won’t want to miss Winter, the world-famous dolphin whose story inspired the hit movie Dolphin Tale. After losing her tail in a crab trap, she was rescued and fitted with a prosthetic tail. Now she’s healthy and swimming freely! Take a journey inside the movie with re-built scenes, movie images and actual props used in the film. Winter’s incredible story has also been seen on Oprah, NBC's The Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America and others.
After your time at the aquarium, enjoy free time for lunch (included) and some beach time. You’ll then be taken back to your Orlando hotel.

greatly enjoyed the aquarium and Clearweater Beach. Bus very hot on trip to Clearwater, but finally someone spoke up to turn up air conditioning and that helped. Driver gave a lot of info on trip. Bus over heated on trip back and pulled in to gas station for unscheduled stop. after some time continued on.

Was great to see winter the dolphin, though do bear in mind that the aquarium was built as a hospital for marine animals and not a tourist attraction, so it is very much no frills. Felt that the staff were a bit unfriendly. Clearwater beach is stunning, beach alone is worth the trip.

This tour was WAY overbooked. I don't want my ratings to negatively effect our driver in anyway b/c my husband and I both feel that he did the best he could and tried his hardest to make it right with us along the way. He was great! _br/_
Our issue is that the tour was completely overbooked and had excessive stops for pickups. We were picked up at 7:20am (my husband and I, along with our 7 year old son). We didn't reach Clearwater until 11:20am. That is FOUR hours on a bus with no bathroom. Thank goodness our driver made a stop for us before we drove through Tampa. When I booked this trip - I was aware of us being the first pick up and to expect about an hour for a few other pickups. I think there were EIGHT pickups that morning...and with traffic in Orlando on a Monday morning...we didn't even leave Orlando until after 9am. The tour was falsely advertised as a tour for Clearwater Marine Aquarium. No other passengers were going there. We missed two shows that we had anticipated seeing that morning b/c we didn't get to the aquarium to almost noon. We ate lunch at 2pm. and then went to the beach. Thank goodness Clark was willing to help us out with transportation b/c nothing was within walking distance which was also part of the sales pitch of why I booked this trip. I just wish honesty would be advertised. This trip should not be marketed as a family trip. Maybe a trip for older retired people that have 4 hours to spend on a bus to drive 90 minutes away. You do have an asset in your driver, Clark.
