This tour offered more than we expected! I would highly recommend this to anyone! The service was wonderful. Everything was explained in detail as to what would happen next where we would be picked up, what time, how long the drive would take to the train station, etc. That was important for me as my memory is failing. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. Please give this tour your first consideration!

The scheduling of a three day tour was very difficult for Viator. They had to work through different agencies some of whom were amateurs. So the details of the trip were not good but the tours in each place were excellent. _br/_ On the positive side:the tour guides were all outstanding, the train ride was fun, and the Grand Canyon hotel outstanding. _br/_ On the negative side: the Arabella Hotel Sedona had no hot water in the morning for showers and told us to run the water for 10-15 and it may get hot. Our friends said their water was tepid but had no pressure coming out of the faucets. That is not good!!!! Next, we were left for two hours by ourselves waiting for a tour and when we went to find the offices we were supposed to go to, we found that our itinerary had no address for the office, the office name was wrong, and the phone number to call put us on hold and then later called our home landline but not our cell phone. We ultimately had to hire a taxi to find our tour bus. If it weren't for the excellence of the tour guides and the Grand Canyon hotel, we would give this a lower review.

We really enjoyed this trip. Our guides were very informative. There was so much history that we may have missed out on without them...

This is a great tour to cover a lot of experiences in a short time. The guides were wonderful and every thing was organized very well, all went smoothly. My sister and I were traveling with our 80 yr. old mom, so it was important to us that we were not stressed out over details. It is a very long 3 days, just because there is so much to see and do, so we were all pretty worn out the day after our tour! Cannot say enough good things about this one! Tip: lots of layers for Canyon and bring binoculars!

A great trip. The guides were great. Wayne was a hoot. Christian talked non stop about the areas we were passing. Mario had a great sense of humour. Sedona was beautiful. Enough spare time to explore. Not rushed. Could not fault. Plenty spare time at the Grand Canyon.

The rail experience included a single 2 hour train ride on a 3 day tour and the advertising NEVER mentions that the entire trip is by motor coach. The booking was for 3 individuals and we got put into a single room, though no mention of double occupancy or triple occupancy was ever communicated, and VERY MUCH was a problem since disabled older folks need their own space. Taking my 78 year old, wheel chair bound mother on vacation was simply the opposite of her expectations and we had to abandon the lodge at the Grand Canyon because no room was available except the one room the tour booked for the 3 of us traveling. A bait and switch of the worst type occurred and the whole thing was embarrassing and a waste of money. It wasn't that the tour guides were rude or difficult, nor that the one hotel was not polite and helpful, but no second room was made available without me personally paying for it and it was a sad disappointment. Please re-write the entire description to be clearer and make sure room occupancy expectations are clear. I even called ahead but when asked where we meet the train in Phoenix the start of the tour and the receptionist wasn't sure and that they would get me these details when they picked us up at the hotel. No train is a pretty easy thing to communicate but was strategically avoided, much to my ignorance since I had never been to Phoenix, or even Arizona before. It was so frustrating I couldn't even bring myself to write a review before now almost 3 months later.

Our driver, Mike, drove like a maniac-80 miles an hour in pouring rain and traffic plus he was almost 2 hours late in picking us up!

Very well organized and helpful staff. Was a great experience. Loved the train and the entire trip. Having a knowledgeable tour leader was an added bonus. When driving back to Phoenix the shuttle was hit by a hawk and the driver did a adept job of maintaining her cool , and avoiding a potentially dangerous situation.

We enjoyed our trip very much, well organized and pleasant and knowledgeable reliable guides._br/_ Our recommendation would be to offer an upscale version of the trip re. train tickets and accommodation, the hotels were very basic!.

Every aspct of our trip went smoothly. Someone from the office called every day to remind us of our arrangements. All the tour guides were very knowledgeable and made our experience fun and educational.

Nobody was making the same tour we did at the same time, so the organization tried to put us in the group we fit in for them everyday. This made we never knew exactly what was going on next, neither the guides were pretty sure about it._br/_ In addition, the last day in Grand Canyon, the hotel send our luggage by train, when we were going back to Phenix by bus. So we had to wait until about 12 at night to get our bags (we were flying the following day, so it was a motive to be worried)._br/_ We were making a long journey we planned by ourselves and we just wanted to stop thinking for 3 days, being with people who just did it for us, but finally we didnĀ“t feel relaxed during the tour.

We, first time visitors to this part of the US - had still a memorable experience since we took on the struggle to book extras by ourselves, but our list of CONS was getting longer and longer day by day.

Everything was spectacular, however people need to be advised that this is really a shuttle service that picks you up and drops you off at the various locations. If you like lots of structured events this might not be for you. We had lots of "free time" which suited us just fine.

We never really knew what company was picking us up . several different companies were involved . We missed the train robbery as we weren't picked up in time. The train ride was boring except for the lady host.Possibly due to the shutdown the previous week. The tour guides were excellent. The Canyon itself was worth the trip . the food was medioca at the buffets and at the Kings Ransom hotel we had money and a tablet stolen so make sure you are careful. The ride from the Canyon to Phoenix was not pleasant., Tthe bus driver didn't talk at all and wasn't happy about having to stop for restrooms and a break.and was unfamiliar with the directions to our hotel . , He drove a little to fast , passing most trucks and busses. .We have taken 4 Viator tours and I was rather disappointed with this particular tour.

It would probably help to include in the tour details that this is not an escorted tour. Rather it is a booking service for multiple tours combined into one and you get passed from guide to guide like a hot potato - one for the drive from Phoenix to Sedona, another in Sedona, one for the drive to the railway station, then the guide on the train, then the guide on the Canyon tour, then the driver for the trip back to Phoenix. Much of the time we did not know which company we were dealing with. We were even not 100% sure what time we would be picked up from the Canyon on the last day! As experienced travellers the type of tour did not faze us, but other customers might like to know this. Also, you are left on your own to organise the helicopter tour in the Canyon. If you are planning on doing this trip it might be worthwhile booking it ahead of time for the morning of the third day or doing it as soon as you get to the lodge as we had difficulty booking one when we did it on our return to the lodge late on day2.

Fantastic. Well looked after from start to finish. Guides were extremely knowledgable_br/_ And interesting. Excellent balance of time to ourselves and organised activities. Didn't have to think about anything except to turn up at correct time at pickups. On the one occasion where we missed a train due to transport problems, everything was sorted out for us and we still got our train ride, plus an extra bonus hour at the Grand Canyon. Not sure how much background activity there was to sort this out, but we knew it would be sorted and remained relaxed. Only thing I would have appreciated guidance on was tipping.

The trip was a day too long. Not enough information on Sedona. It would have been better to have gone on the jeep ride in the am in Sedona and then go onto the Grand Canyon in the afternoon. Getting dumped in Sedona at 9.00am and told to go shoppong for the rest of the day was not good. We did two jeep rides to fill time in they were great. Without them it would have been terrible. We don't like shopping all day. Sedona is a very nice place but we needed more planning on what was available in the town other than looking at the shops. You need an information sheet on walks and tours.

Our tour guide was asked several times for a restroom stop but did not respond to the needs of the ladies. Our tour started well before lunch and lasted four hours after lunch. Have you ever thought about the needs of people with diabeties!_br/_ Our tour guide dropped us off and told us the hotel was about ten minutes away. Maybe for a twenty-seven year old, but for a sixty-four year old with diabeties and high blood pressure..............not so much. _br/_ I will never use your service again or recommend it to any of my friends.

All the connections were perfect. Only the last one was 15 minutes late. No big deal. Our guide was wonderful. She knew the history and pointed out the different local plants. Even went out of her way to guide us on the walks. There was plenty of time open to do the jeep tour, helicopter ride, and see the Canyon at our leisure.

The trip was well planned and things were on schedule. The drivers were friendly and helpful. I loved that I had plenty of free time to do the things I wanted to do, rather than being committed to short stops in places before moving on. For those doing the train trip, here's one thing to be aware of: the drop off time in the morning is 2.5 hours before the train leaves, and there is nothing to do once you've been dropped off. Do take a good book with you. Other than that, this was most enjoyable and I would use the tour company again when I am back in the U.S.
