As the sun begins to set over the Marin Headlands, you'll cruise past Alcatraz, Angel Island and the shorelines of Tiburon, Belvedere and Sausalito. Watch the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean as you sail west toward the Golden Gate Bridge. On your way back to Fisherman's Wharf you'll see many more famous sights, including the Presidio, the Marina District and Fort Mason.
All cruise vessels offer indoor and outdoor seating, and restrooms. There is no assigned seating or formal dress required, come as you are for an evening of relaxed sunset sailing! Vessels operate on bio-diesel, a renewable energy source.
Twilight Cruise:
In the winter, the cruise changes its itinerary to make the most of the spectacular city lights view of San Francisco. As the sun sets over the horizon, you'll sail past San Francisco's modern skyscrapers, historic landmarks, the infamous island of Alcatraz and both the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge.

This was a fabulous trip. We had fairly reasonable weather, although it was windy and chilly, we were able to go out on the top deck for the first part of the trip. The wind got stronger and it got quite cold towards sunset as we approached the bridge, but wrap up warmly and you will be fine. The views and Kodak moments are well worth it. The snax were not gourmet standard food, but it was enough to nibble on until we could go for dinner later on. There is plenty of room for everyone to be outside or indoors. The singer/entertainer was pleasant. My only gripe was that I would have liked to have had a bit more commentary about what we were seeing as the boat cruised around the bay. But then I think the whole idea of the cruise, was about the sunset and the entertainment, more than the actual sightseeing. A worthwhile trip.

We enjoyed a beautiful trip around the bay. Luckily it was a clear and cold night, great for seeing the lights of the city and cuddling while enjoying a glass of wine. The appetizers were plentiful and the crew was friendly. Would definitely recommend this to others. I have lived here my whole life but have never experienced the city from this view.

We enjoyed our cruise except for one thing. The cruise started after the sun had set! I know daylight savings time ended just before we took the cruise, however, it would have been appreciated if the cruise could have started earlier so that we could have seen the sunset under the Golden gate Bridge. Snacks were tasty and the drinks were nice. The crew was accommodating and professional.

This was a great experience! The place at the pier where we were to get on the boat was easy to find, all the staff at both the pier and on the boat were so friendly, welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We left while there was plenty of light to see the bay and Alcatraz and the surrounding area. Great views! The buffet was more than we had expected and was very yummy. We made little sandwiches and the desserts were extra good! Thank you! There was also some very nice and relaxing live music on the cruise. As the sun set we approached the Golden Gate Bridge, and it was all so pretty! Took lots and lots of pictures! I will try to post some soon. It was such a nice evening and we enjoyed every minute of it. The boat was nice and clean, the food was great, the people were great! We are so glad that we chose the San Francisco Bay Twilight and Sunset Cruise.

So glad we booked this sunset cruise. We had a delicious buffet, wine and a talented young singer to entertain us. The sun was bright red and amazing. Unfortunately the color was due to the fires in Santa Rosa that were burning out of control which was tragic. The cruise delivered much more than I expected. We saw Angel Island while still in twilight and Sausalito looked magical at sunset with all the sailboats in the harbor and the lights twinkling in the yacht club. The real thrill was cruising to and under the Golden Gate Bridge. The view of the city at night from the bay was a treat. Don't miss this cruise when you visit San Francisco. Bring a jacket and enjoy the views from the deck. You will not be disappointed.

Maybe it was the deep fog and bad weather, but this cruise was disappointing. The crew was very nice, but the food was uninspired and because of large groups coming on board, it was a bit chaotic. One bright note - the guitarist/vocalist was super.

This was an extremely subdued two hour tour. It was rainy, which meant I expected that the narrator and staff would be far more exciting and upbeat and neither were. The narrator was also the singer and pianist, there was live entertainment, however, he played all slow and sad songs, at monotone tempo, which are not a good combination for a boat ride on a rainy evening. I and a few others were almost asleep. The food was nasty. There were flies, and gnats flying all over the place. It was not worth the almost 70 per person, I would not recommend it for rainy season. It may be better during the summer when you can spend time on the deck. Also, they should loose the slow and sad music.

A tad disappointed with this tour. Food could not be faulted - there was a fantastic spread and what was there was very well presented and was very tasty. Well done guys. I think they had catered for a boat full of people but it was not even half full. However, it was meant to be a twilight cruise which left the pier at 6pm and by the time we returned back at 8pm it was really only just starting to get dark so we did not get the effect of the lights of San Francisco which was the point of it really! We did have a lovely tour of all the small islands in the bay and ended up going under the GG bridge so it was good to have a different view of it having travelled over it a few times on earlier tours. I think really this needs start an hour or so later, especially going into the summer months, so that the lights can be properly appreciated.

This is my second time doing the twilight cruise - I took the cruise on Saint Patrick's day 2017 without intending to go on a holiday. Both times, here are some things that I enjoyed: all crew members are at least polite and friendly and often are very outgoing and fun. The food is a nice variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, finger food sandwich sections, mini sandwiches, pastry puffs, and mini pieces of dessert cake, brownie. The voucher gets you a free drink - I find a good beer to be better out on the bay with the salty air! Live music is also a nice touch the cruise offers. It's enough time to really enjoy all the sights. The first time that I took the cruise mid January this year the benefit was that the sun went down shortly after the cruise took off, so you got a chance to cruise in all the sunset colors and see the city and bridge lights clearly. This more recent cruise March 17 was great for seeing the islands, homes, and boats and get bright, clear pictures of everything. Both cruises were wonderful, though the difference in experience based on time of year was something I hadn't anticipated and will think more about in the future because I certainly will try to go again!.

The views from the boat were exceptional, with lots of photo opportunities. The food was cold choices of canapes but there was plenty of it. The staff were welcoming and friendly and there was live entertainment. It was a nice experience but the weather was cold. I believe it would be even better in the summer.

We went in with low expectations. I was a little upset at first as I was expecting a smaller more intimate boat, but realised quickly that there would be way too much movement on a smaller boat. The bay is quite rough/choppy. The staff were super friendly and not in your face. The live music was AWESOME we found out at the end it was an Aussie which was really great! and the food was sufficient and tasty. The views of the city during sunset and afterwards all lit up were spectacular . By the end of the trip people were just sitting together extremely relaxed and content. Highly recommend this to anyone!
