We can't rate this tour - the bus was an hour later than the scheduled time at our stop.

We were late for the 10:15am tour. But went on the 2:15pm one. The name of the bus company is nowhere to be found in Larcomar Shopping Center. The Information Center had not heard the To ur Company on the voucher. He called the contact number on the voucher, but was not correct. He said it was missing numbers. The Panoramic City Tour took us from Miraflores to Barrancos, San Isidro and the colonial part of the city. Traffic was horrendous. The city has 11,000.00 people. It seemed that everyone was out. The views were foggy. They claim is a natural phenomenon called La Nina. We believe is pollutWe visited the Plaza de Armas and looked at a few old colonial building that are both government offices and also privately owned. We visited the Monastery of the Franciscans and its Catacombs. Its still the home of Franciscans. Unfortunately, is in a state of disrepair. The library is abandoned. Precious religious books are going to be lost soon. No patrons are helping these priests to preserve anything._br/_ Tour Guides were speaking English and Spanish only. There were no headsets, no circuit map of route. The bus was yellow and the name is Turibus. The bus is a bit tired. This is the worst Hop On Hop Off I have been on.

This is a wonderful way to see the sites. The buses were clean and inviting. The staff made certain you new where to get off and back on. _br/_ The commentary along the way was very informative. _br/_ For anyone with only a day to visit this city we would recommend the hop on hop off.

We found the actual tour on the bus to be great. It gave us a really good idea of what Santiago offered and actually got quite close to so many sites of interest. I'm always amazed at how these drivers manage to drive through the narrow streets with all the pedestrians and traffic, but they really know what they're doing. We only had limited time until flight time so we decided just to ride the bus and not hop-off anywhere. disappointing as I would like to have got off and explored more of the city. We were told that to go all around would be two hours, yet it actually was longer than this due to traffic and stops. The guide on the bus was so good to keep track of us knowing we spoke only English. We did have some problem with finding the location at which to get the bracelet for the bus entrance. We went to Central Market, but didn't know that it was Mercado Central and that this market includes many different stalls/kiosks. With our very limited Spanish and the vendors in the market not knowing much English, we had a problem getting directions. We finally had an English speaking guide lead us to the Turistik location and we got our bracelet.

This is a great way to get your bearings in a new city. The service ran as promised, which is what you want. The rest is up to you.

Excellent tour of the city. Each bus had a helpful guide to direct you at each stop. Would highly recommend for any first time visitors. Would be good to have had information in advance about the add-ons such as the Funicular and mountain cable car. These are well worth the visit providing fantastic views over the city. A visit to Costanera tower is also a must do.

A good overview of the city. Bus was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Viator vouchers need to be exchanged for armbands at stop 1 but you can board at any stop to go get your armband. Only a few of the stops are marked with signage, which could be a problem if you don't plan ahead.

A useful way in which to get a good overview of the city. Be aware though that if you choose to do the whole circuit without a hop off, it runs for over two hours by which time the seats have become hard and uncomfortable. Water is also essential. Turistik office at Plaza De Armas was especially helpful in changing Viator voucher for ticket when I did not actually have the voucher with me. Saved me a walk back to my hotel to retrieve the voucher ... great service.

We always do the Hop on Hop Off bus on the first day of our travels. It’s a good way to get acquainted with the area. On this tour the speakers worked well and English was an option. We got off on one stop to see the San Cristobal Hill. Amazing.

This rating is not the fault of the tour... We had a day free and decided to go for the hop on hop off tour. But we had already been in the city for almost a week. Riding on the top deck of the bus above all the other buses was a little hard. Sometimes having to breathe in the exhaust was hard at a stop light. I don't know if I was just tired from a frenetic week or the exhaust gave me a headache. I just bailed as soon as I could. The commentary was great and in multiple languages, so it is worth your while to learn about the wonderful city of Santiago!

Really enjoyed seeing the city this way. Sound system and narrator really good. One of the best i've experienced. Loved that the upper story was covered to protect from the sun.

Lots of detailed explanations and brochures describing each stop. We took it once around for the first time and then decided where to go back to. They have individual headphones so you don't have to worry about the other passengers talking. Our only complaint was that twice we saw the bus leave from its stop about 8 minutes before we were told to be there and had to wait for the next one.

Without telling us when we got our wristbands, the buses quit going to stop 5,6,and 7. The main office was at 5. After waiting for 40 minutes a pedestrian came along to tell us we had to walk 6 blocks to find a bus somewhere along route,to wave and it would probably stop !!! Shoddy !!!. Then we got off on stop 4 to take the funicular that was part of our ticket cost and lo and behold its closed for maintenance for November and December. This was December 2nd and yet no one mentioned it was closed, not even the bus ticket sellers at the base of the hill !!! The rest was fine, covered alot of area with interesting stops and commentary.

There is no signage to indicate where the bus stops. Guides are uninformed where attractions are at each stop. It took over 2 hours to go from stop 11 to stop 5. We had to take a taxi back to our hotel because bus was so slow. Guide gave us wrong directions to History Museum so we never got there.

It was difficult to find a office to get the bus tickets because several of them were not open due to a public holiday weekend.

We didn't do the tour due to the impossibility of changing the day with the Turistik staff and Viator didn't respond in time. Disappointed ... Last dollar I paid Viator. I don't recommend. Try to buy your tickets direct with Turistik.

Cold rainy day unfortunately so one could not take photos or barely see out of the lower level buses as the windows have a fine mesh over them!!._br/_ Also it is unfortunate it only goes in one direction so to get back to nearest starting point one has to do the whole 2 hr trip.

This was a great trip around the city of Santiago. The guides were delightful, with good command of English. It was a little annoying they couldn't accept the voucher on the bus. We had to go to Stop 1 to cash in the voucher to get tickets to use service. Overall great and highly recommend.

Do not buy this hop on hop off from Viator. We still had to go to the Tour office to get out arm bands etc. At the office we would have paid half price for the tours as my wife and I are both over 60 - not available from Viator. The tour is fine but not nearly as well organised as some other cities. There is confusion as to when the tour starts and there is no time table at the stops. We waited 50 minutes to get our first bus, which is supposed to run every 30 minutes. However, as we had taken the free walking tourworthwhile the previous day we found we saw all the sights we wanted to see._br/_ John C

Good overview of the city - great way to orient yourself and figure out what sites you would like to see more in depth. _br/_ The audio was a little hard to understand at some points because of quality. _br/_ The map they provide is not very accurate and not very descriptive. There are numbers on the map, but there is no key to determine what those numbers represent. _br/_ At one point, I asked the guide on the bus where one of the attractions was, and as I got off the bus, she gave me quick directions and pointed out to me where I needed to go. She either misunderstood me or didn't know because I walked around for at least an hour trying to find the attraction and never found it. _br/_ It would say for less money, do your research to pick what attractions you would like to visit and take the Metro.

We purchased the ticket online and missed the part about having to check in at a location in the city to be verified and given a wristband. We were removed from the bus and taken to an office to get the wristband which wasted time on an already tight schedule. Why can't the people on the bus give you a wristband?

Took much more time than needed to do what it says on the tin. Would have been much better if it took at keast half an hour less to completre the circuot. Not something either of us would like to do again. Would have worked better for us and is strongly recommended for anyone else if we had got off at the funicular, finished off doing what we could do there and then got back on to finish the trip and get back to our hotel - which was at least conveniently placed close to one of the stops.

The bus pick up point was about 6 blocks from our hotel. We were only able to get off at three of the stops. Since the bus stopped running the complete route at 4:00 pm, we were not able to just stay on the bus to view a large part of the remaining route, because it would end completely before we were able to get off at the stop that we got on. I think that it should run longer for the day tour

We got on the bus at the start of the tour, we did have to wait for the next bus as it was full when it arrived and there was quite a queue waiting with us. The tour itself was good and seemed to take in most of the places of interest. The commentary was very informative and gave a really good idea of the history of Santiago and Chile. The only downside was the horrendous traffic, but obviously this cannot be helped. We stayed on the bus back to the start as it was very hot and we only had a short time in the city and wanted to visit other places. A lot of people did the same, but many were also using it as it's meant, there were people getting on and off at every stop_br/_ I would certainly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the city at a reasonable price, it's also a good way to get your bearings and decide where to visit. We thought it was fairly good value for money

The pick up point at Parque Arauco Mall was practically next door to our hotel, the Santiago Marriott, so we found it very convenient to take the hop-on hop-off tour. We did the complete circuit to get an overview of the city on January 20 and liked it so much that we booked the tour again for the following day to get around the city to visit different locations. The English commentary was clear and easy to understand through our earbuds, and we thought the information was well-organized and interesting.

My husband and I like to take the Hop On, Hop Off tour when were arrive in a new city, so that we can have a preview of some of the points of interest. The Santiago Hop On, Hop Off tour gives a great overview of the city. We rode the entire loop first, and then rode again and got off at several of the stops.

It was really difficult to find the office to get the wristband. It was a long walk from my hotel. In Barcelona it could be done on the bus. Once on the bus the tour was good except the noise of the traffic made hearing the commentary difficult.

We did this the afternoon we arrived, after the long flights from the US, while waiting to get into our hotel room. It was the perfect way for tired travelers to get an easy overview of the city, and to identify places we wanted to see in more depth.

We hopped on at Plaza de Armas and enjoyed a hop off at Parque Arauco and the mall there and at Bella Vista to ride the tram to the top of San Cristobal with amazing panoramic city views. The buses appear relatively new. The top decks are covered - wisely so since many of Santiago's streets are lined with beautiful mature oriental plane trees, some with bus-sweeping branches. This is a great way to see this lovely city.
