Whale Watching Cruise and Blue Lagoon Spa Combination Tour from Reykjavik

Reykjavik, Iceland

For a unique day of Icelandic activities take the combined Whale Watching and Blue Lagoon tours, and make the most of your time in Iceland. Observe the whales in their natural habitat and enjoy the refreshing waters of the Blue Lagoon on a day that will live long in the memory!

Sail on Faxafloi bay and keep your eye out for one of this area's giant locals. The bay is home to a unique variety of the Minke whale as well as the Humpback, Harbor Porpoise and the White-beaked Dolphins - all common sights on this tour. The Local bird life is also diverse, including such birds as the Puffin, Arctic tern, Gannet and many varieties of Gull.

After your Whale Watching adventure, you'll be transported to the famous Blue Lagoon for some well-earned relaxation. Once there you have many recreational options to choose from, such as walking in the Blue Lagoon's spectacular surroundings, bathing in the milky blue-green water, relaxing in a geothermal steam bath or releasing the stress from your shoulders under a Blue Lagoon waterfall. For a truly unique experience, indulge in an outdoor massage or one of the spa treatments available. Return to your Reykjavik hotel or Keflavik Airport.

Please note the Blue Lagoon will be closed from 5 Jan - 21 Jan, 2016

Not so much a tour as a series of buses. First there was no communication about the pick up point, which was apparently not our hotel like the booking receipt promised. The whale watching was OK, but after the whale watching we were left waiting for a bus at the office for over 30mins, then bused to a bus terminal, yet another wait, then bussed to the blue lagoon where we were left and told when to catch the bus back. ON the way back we had to change buses AGAIN. There was no guide, no information, no instructions, learned nothing about what we were seeing. The only information we got was misleading like about where to get food and pick up points Just terrible, we had a miserable day and very poor value for the price we paid. I would not book with Viator again.

The reason I'm giving this three stars is the blue lagoon. It's very touristy very unorganised re the changing rooms only one entrance and exit which gets very congested wish we'd gone to one which was less high profile. Take your own towel as it's very expensive to hire for a short space of time._br/_ The whale watching was worth it for the stunning scenery. We did see dolphins, unfortunately no whales but that's the way nature goes. Plus the day we went the sea was a mill pond. You do get provided with thermal all in one suits which helps

Although we had informed the organizing company Gray or Grey that we were dependent when we could get off out cruise ship, there was no transfer bus waiting for us. Our cruise ship clearance was belated some minutes, so at 08.30 no pick up anymore at the cruise terminal. After some confusion, another guy of the Gray Company told us to get a taxi and that we should hurry to another port other side of Reijkjavik where our boat was. We managed to collect our prepaid tickets at the office in the harbour and could get on the boat in time. It had rained that morning, but after it had stopped, the crew did not clean our wet seats, they were at deck but just talking with each other. We saw no whales on this trip, although the crew was searching and racing over the water everywhere. After we returned at the pier the promised pick up to the bus terminal was not there. We had to phone several times expensive roaming calls to be ensured that a little bus would pick us up group of 9 in some minutes, but it took more than 30 minutes before it arrived stuck in traffic was the excuse while we had to wait in open air by cold and wet weather. The second ticket for the blue lagoon had to be picked up at the bus terminal office. Then we went with a larger bus to the blue lagoon. This was a great experience, but long waiting lines to get in. ATTENTION: if you have a towel with you, there is no need to buy the not included and very expensive towel/shampoo package, your own towel is all you need. Plastic bags for your wet stuff after your visit are available for free in the changing room. After the bath in the blue lagoon we decided to have a hot drink: 2 hot chocolate and 2 sandwiches: 35 ! Fridge magnet 10 . All in all a great experience, but prices were much too high. Also, you need in many places in Iceland a creditcard to enter the toilets, price about 1.5

We actually saw some minky sp? whales, white nose dolphins and porpoises. I guess we got lucky. The trip was excellent. Edling did a very nice job on all aspects of the tour. Don't worry about dressing warmly because they provide full body suits that keep you dry and toasty, and you can always go into the boat if you are too cold.

Rather disorganised and no helpful information from the tour company as to what they were doing or where to go. The Whale Watching is totally separate from the Blue Lagoon and you don't get told that in advance. You're supposed to just know that once the whale watching is over you then have to hike up to the tour operator's office and check in for the Blue Lagoon and get picked up. They also don't tell you that if they drop you at 2pm and you need to leave the Lagoon on the 3pm bus that is nowhere near enough time to be there because it takes so long to get ready before and after being in the water. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately, didn't see any whales but then nature is unpredictable. The tour company did offer everyone tickets valid for 2 years for another trip. Blue Lagoon was stunning and well worth a visit

Too many people on boat. Couldn and #39;t get a good photo of whale because of crowding and being crushed! Blue lagoon good. Restaurant service left a lot to be desired. It was a birthday treat but nobody acknowledged this.

Whale watching was great....no humpback whales seen on our tour, but we did see a few minke whales and porpoises. Blue lagoon just had bad weather. It was quite miserable but I am sure on a better weather day it would be amazing. Facilities are wonderful.

We had a beautiful day on the water. The views of downtown Reykjavic and the surrounding nature are spectacular. We saw humpbacks and mink whales. The staff was fun and the boat was large enough. If you love water, this isn't to be missed.

this tour was terrible... firstly the logistics hadn't been divulged to any passengers so no-one knew what or where they were due, resulting in long delays and a lot of complaining by all passengers. secondly this is not as it is advertised - we went to an area and were told specifically it isn't where the large whales if any go... so not surprisingly we didn't see any. This was the only bad tour of the holiday and was in our opinion a waste of money due to false advertisement and a lack or organisation. i would advise anyone to not sign up to this tour.

Excellent day tour of whale watching and blue lagoon but some chaos that was not explained in advance. The trip requires you to get in the bus that collects you, takes oyu to a bus depot for another comp, any where you exchange your voucher for a ticket, get on another bus to whale watching where you exchange your ticket for one of their tickets. Great whale watching trip and saw minke and humpback as well as dolphins as summer a good time. Back onto another bus to bus depot, to another bus to blue lagoon which you have to pay for separately and I advise you to do this ahead to time to save queues. Blue lagoon amazing. Back in another bus into town and then onto last bus of day to hotel. Other advice-take some lunch with you or buy at expensive Blue lagoon cafe as not enough time inbetween to stop anywhere else. Overall a great day out but coordination could be improved which is why it lost 1 star.

Did not really see any whales on boat trip, but obviously these are wild animals, and so this could never be guaranteed. The trip was generally well organised, but they ran out of the warm suits in all sizes except extra large which left my wife without one as she is only small. We had dressed expecting to be provided with a suit as it was listed as one of the items included in the price, and so it meant that we were not able to stay out on the top desk with the best views as she got too cold.

Since these are wild animals, it's hard to predict if one will see them. We were treated to a great view of the bay area and an intro to Icelandic marine life, however.

We had a fab time in Iceland absolutely loved it! This was the first trip we did and we really enjoyed the lagoon! Unfortunately we did not see any whales and the wind was pretty high but would have been lovely on a calmer day. We received tickets to return within two years which was nice.

Booked whale watching in morning and blue lagoon in afternoon. Had to reschedule for late docking and company were helpful. Changed times to accommodate no problem. However, due to bad weather could not take boat for whale watching from intended harbour so had to bus to next town. Did not tell us this would be over an hour then time on boat and over an hour to bus back so missed Blue Lagoon. Bus dropped us off at Eldon ticket office but we were then told we had to alk back to Excursion Booking office. Not helpful when in a strange town, cold, disorientated and hungry. Found way back to office but 2 hours after Blue Lagoon trip time. Rearranged this for next day so missed seeing any of Reykjavik on the Sunday as intended. Blue Lagoon amazing. Weather too rough to see any whales. All other trips that day were cancelled because weather was too rough and I feel we were cheated on this.

Everything was well organised and would have been a lot better if the weather had been good. It was very choppy sea and got very cold, just unfortunate we chose that time. We saw a fair amount of dolphins which was great, shame there were no visible whales. The tour guide was very good and informative too. Worth the trip if the weather is better.

The whale watching boat was extremely crowded with 100+ students. There was only 1 hour of time actually spent at the Blue Lagoon which wasn't enough time to actually go in the lagoon as we had to leave for the airport. I suggest that you should advise people of this as it was all a waste of time for us.

Great to see some whales but the large ones migrate further north now that the ocean is warmer. They have over clothes for us to put on so all one needs to bring is hat and gloves. So we were totally comfortable.

Whale watching was a bit disappointing as we never actually saw any whales and it was not the time of the year for puffins. We did see some dolphins, but it was difficult to take photos. Thoroughly enjoyed Blue Lagoon. Such a stark contrast in temperature, being in your bikini walking to lagoon when it was 2 degrees outside and the lagoon was so warm and relaxing.

Sea was very rough, free seasickness pills were handed out when we boarded the boat and unfortunately we saw no whales at all. We were offered a free return trip to compensate for this, which we didn't take up as we could not have fit it in to the remaining time we had in Iceland. I was seasick despite having taken the pills. _br /_ The Blue Lagoon was absolutely fantastic but be aware that the trip does not include the entrance fee to the bathing area. It was expensive, but worth every krona. Especially recommended is the waterfall, just like having a massage and wonderfully de-stressing. I recommend it.
