The guided coach tour takes you on scenic routes to Interlaken at the foot of the snow-covered Alps of the Bernese Oberland. After some time at leisure in Interlaken journey to the well-known holiday resort of Grindelwald, which is nick-named the 'Glacier Village'. You will have enough time to explore this region on your own.
An optional cable car ride (operates only late May - late October) to the sunny terrace of Mt. First at 2168m / 7113 ft is recommended - for a breathtaking panorama of the Bernese Alps. In the late afternoon meet your coach and guide for the return journey to Zurich.

I feel so disappointed of this tour! We just had half an hour in Interlaken and took a few hours in a village, where was not mentioned beforehand and had nothing to do and see. Finally, we went to Grindelwald for a while in the purpose of picking up those people who went up to the Junfrau.

Was in Interlaken and Grindelwald last week and it is an amazing place indeed. Was snowing most of the time and it makes the place look magical. The stop in Interlaken is too small and that is something I did not like about it as it would have been nice to spend a couple of hours in Interlaken, that I was disappointed about, apart from that the company was great and enjoyed the tour. There are only 2 companies that operate these tours and this one grey line are the best for sure. I booked also a tour with the other company called best of switzerland but the tour was a total disorganisation, would not recommend that at all.

Interlaken was absolutely beautiful, full of shops and eatery overlooking the mountains. Once we got to Grindelwald, it felt like heaven on earth! The alps were simply breathtaking! Bus tour ride was a fair distance but totally worth it!

Although this was the trip we had pre-purchased, our tour guide, Kid great reviews in other postings and we weren't disappointed told us that because of the time of year it was, not everything was open in Grindelwald and he suggested we do the Jungfrau mountains instead. Since the rest of the bus travelers were doing that one, we agreed. It was the best decision we made. We had had rain most of our trip in Germany and it appeared to be stopping in Switzerland - but we took the train over 11,000 feet up over the clouds and the sky was a perfect blue and the mountains were the Swiss Alps we had been looking for. Kid was fantastic as he guided us through the various levels, the ice palace, and key photo opportunities. Our pictures were spectacular. I highly recommend this trip and if you do plan for it, be sure to wear gloves, warm shoes/boots with good traction on ice, and drink a lot of water because the thin air at 11k may affect you. It did me, but not most of the others in the group. It was little hard for me to breathe but there were plenty of places to sit and rest. Regardless, the pictures are priceless and the scenery was spectacular. I hope you get Kid as your guide because he's so great at this.

It was ok, we had a nice time. But the service could have been better. The guide prioritised people who paid more for the Jungfrau mountains tour, barely giving any guidance to us on this tour aside from pick up times. Yes, it's independent but give us some tips! Also not enough time in Interlaken.

Booked this supposedly guided tour. Everyone else in the bus ws taking the upgraded tour. So the guide remained with them for the whole trip while we litterally only got a ride to interlaken and grindelwald. Kid gave us zero info about wt to do, where to eat.. Completely unworth 100$ for a bus ride!

I liked the sites we saw on this tour, and that we could do this on our own. We visited Interlaken and had enough time to grab a quick lunch and walk around some. The rest of the time was spent on our own in Grindelwald, and we took the optional cable car up Mount First. 60 Euros per adult. The walk to the cable car entrance was further than we were told but perhaps the Swiss walk very, very fast. Also, if you do this tour, be informed that the walk to the scenic lake at the top of Mt First is 50 minutes EACH way. Once we got to the top of the mountain and found this out, we realized we did not have enough time at that point to make this trek. If we were quicker about getting there we might have had time. Instead, a couple of us braved the cliff walk. It was spectacular! On the way down, my son and I took the mountain carts down. It was fun, and I liked that the speed can be easily controlled. Unfortunately, the path made the ride bumpy and his phone fell out of his pocket and broke his screen. In other words, secure the times in your pockets. This tour was exactly what I was looking for.

We were originally booked to take the Grinelwald/Interlaken tour, but once we boarded our bus, and saw what the rest of the group was doing, headed for the highest point in Europe, our guide Kid let us upgrade so that we could tag along! Kid was hands down the BEST part of the trip... aside from getting to see the breath-taking scenery of course. I dont think we would have either learned so much about this amazing country, or laughed as hard as we did if he had not been out guide. He was so helpful, informative, and HILARIOUS. We arent a couple who likes to do touristy trips while traveling, but we are SO glad we booked this one. Hands down the best part of our trip to Zürich. We would highly recommend it for anyone who LOVES touristy group tours, or even to people who are like us and usually steer clear of group tours. ESPECIALLY if you get Kid as your tour guide.

This is not a tour! _br/_ This is basically a bus trip to Interlaken and Grindelwald without the freedom of choosing your own schedule. At the start of the 'tour' we were pressurised by the guide to 'upgrade' our tour to a more expensive one which we did not do. On the Interlaken-Grindelwald tour you are dropped off in each place for several hours by yourself and have to find your own way/things to do, you would be better off renting a car or just getting the bus or train. _br/_ The 'upgraded' tour carries on up the mountain and collects you on the way back. You are left on your own in both Interlaken and Grindelwald with no guidance or assistance. _br/_ The tour guide had extremely poor English and was very rude when asked questions. The tour guide also implied that the Interlaken-Grindelwald tour was not that good and pushed very hard to get us to 'upgrade' for an extra 135 each.

Except on the way from Zurich to Interlaken, the tour guide introduced something about the places we saw on the bus. Otherwise, the whole trip, only me and a Canadian couple just visited these two villages by ourselves. All were free time. The tour guide and other people went on the mountain top for the whole trip. Hence, the tour fee I paid was just the transportation cost. How ridiculous it was !!! Very very bad experience !!!

We arrived 35 minutes before this tour left and were told by a coach driver to wait outside a tour booth. We spoke to other tourists and when the time came for our coach to leave, there was still no activity. About 10 minutes later we inquired at a nearby booth about 20 metres away and they said the bus left!! and we should have gone there. I explained that we were told to wait at the other one and asked why there were no signs whatsoever with Viator tours advertising their tours? Furthermore, knowing this, no one appeared in the area to announce that the tour was leaving, knowing that some passengers had not arrived. I did not get a satidfactory response but was offered a similar tour an hour later AND given our badges for it, only to be stripped of them when the driver for that tour arrived because it was more expensive than we had originally paid. The people at the booth said they were powerless to overturn that decision and we found this extremely embarrassing and inconvenient. We were then offered the cheaper Heidi tour which we found very disappointing and was not what we cane to Zurich to see. This was a real dampener to our trip to Switzerland, as we were leaving the next day

Interlaken is a nice place but our tour operator didnt allocated enough time to spend here. You will enjoy the bus trip from interlaken to grinderwald with beautiful sceanic view. Grinderwald is also a good place to explore. There is a free bus service from the bus stop to near by areas.

This tour takes you to the heart of the Switzerland you always imagined. The tour was split with the Jungfrau trip, and there was a significant amount of time in Grindelwald waiting for the rest of the group to return. The guide was very good and knew all of the great photo opportunities along the way. The guide continued with the Jungfrau trip, so this tour was mainly independent. There was a cable car that went up the mountain, but was pretty expensive, chf 56 for the round trip to the top and chf 30 to the first stop. Overall, I enjoyed the trip.

This tour was amazing. We were able to purchase an extra train ticket for about 30 Francs each, which took us to one of the higher train stations but not the highest, where there was a ski lodge and restaurant. The views were amazing and we spent about half of our time there and half in Grindelwald. I think that if we didn't take the extra train ticket, we may have gotten a bit bored in Grindelwald as there is not too much to do there. However, the views are amazing and it is a must do if you're going to Switzerland!

Tour guide's English was extremely difficult to understand by myself and other American travellers. This tour was combined with another tour to Mt Jungfrau so me and 3 other pax were given very sketchy details that we had to wait a certain spot in Interlaken and then we would be taken to Grindelwald separately to the group with NO GUIDE and a bus driver who did not speak english. We were left at Grindelwald for 4 hours while it was raining. We were given no instruction on activities to do - we were dumped in this town with nothing to do but walk through it over and over again for four hours in the rain! We could have taken a train to Grindelwald as this Viatour was merely a transport service and not a guided tour. Very disappointing and a big waste of time and money!

This cheaper tour is a trap. Its the same tour as the Jungfraujoch tour which costs 3 times the price. Only difference is instead of going to the top, they dump you in Interlaken for 1 hours and Grindewald for 5 hours whilst you have to wait for the Jungfraujoch clientèle to go up to the top and come back down.

We have booked with Viator in the past and always been happy. This time,however, was disappointing. We had a guide, Kid, whom we could not understand. Much of the info along the way was lost. The sights were beautiful though and we enjoyed that. Kid did not communicate that we were getting dropped off and would meet up with the rest of hte group at Grindelwald. He was very curt when we asked any questions and seemed not to care about anything other than the schedule and chastising those who were late once. The ALps were magnificent and we had plenty of time for taking the cable car on our own. The scheduling on this tour was perfect. On the bus ride back the AC in the bus was not working and it was brutally hot. I dehydrated. I had to purchase water on the bus and not once did Kid come over to check on anyone and how they were faring in the heat. It was a 3 hour ride back. The last 10 minutes Kid started to walk up and down the aisles being friendly. Hmmmm-tips? Sorry Kid, you didn't earn any from us. When I contacted Viator they said they would review our situation. I hope that future trips can benefit fromm this info. We would like to go Viator again ourselves since past experience have all been wonderful.

I have used Viator for a few years now, and this was the first time I had trouble with an excursion. We were scheduled to tour on a Friday, and when we got there we were told the tour had been cancelled. We had not been notified by email or phone, and Michel Meier from Hans Meier Tourist was rude about it. We paid for a taxi that morning (which wasn't cheap), and we had to pay for one the next morning as well. He told us to show up the next day, and the tour would be going then. I was very upset with his attitude toward this situation. Why give my personal information if they aren't going to use it?
