New York City Night on the Town Tour

New York City, United States of America

Enjoy a full night out on the town in New York City on this comprehensive evening tour! You'll take a relaxing walking tour of historic High Line Park at sunset, cruise beside the Statue of Liberty and conclude a memorable evening at the Top of the Rock Observatory Deck for magnificent views of the New York City skyline at night.

Departing from Midtown in the comfort of a climate-controlled deluxe Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus, your tour takes you first to the Meat Packing District for a fully-guided 30-45 minute walking tour of High Line Park. This historic park was constructed over the former High Line, an elevated freight railroad track that connected trains directly to factories and warehouses. These long forgotten tracks have been transformed into a spectacular park with public art and native greenery, and from your vantage point you'll enjoy views of the Hudson River at sunset.

You'll transfer to South Street Seaport for a one-hour cruise of Manhattan Harbor. The spectacular New York skyline is a breathtaking sight to behold while you sail past the Statue of Liberty.

End the evening with impressive views from the 70th floor of Rockefeller Center at the Top of the Rock Observatory. The three floors of indoor and outdoor decks offer the perfect panoramic view of New York City at night. The perfect way to complete your night out on the town!

It was a great tour. It rained on our tour so we did not get to go to the High Line or ride on the top of the bus but overall it was fun.

We were with a small group and it was nice. Oscar our guide was very good. The harbor cruise was the highlight. Too see the NYC skyline at night along with passing the Statue of Liberty was awesome.

Well worth the cost! Got to see most all of NYC! A little long, the stop at a restaurant could have been done without.

The evening sights of New York were amazing! We moved from the night cruise, to the high line gardens, dinner and Top of the Rock what a invigorating site!. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful the only downside was that he had a thick accent and was a bit hard to understand at times. His enthusiasm, however, was a real plus! There was some confusion among the tour guests about dinner. The website description did NOT include a stop for dinner as a part of the tour. When we stopped it was 10 PM and most of us had had dinner before the tour. This should be clarified for future tour participants.

We saw so much on this tour. New York City was so pretty at night. Loved the bus tour and harbor tour! Our guide was somewhat hard to understand. The only problem was that we had to tear our own ticket off and hand it to the boat people. it was night and someone in our group handed them their Top of the Rock ticket. As a result, when we got to the Top of the Rock, our group was short a ticket. I fault the guide for our group. He should be checking to see that we are all handing in the right ticket at the stops.

Packs a lot in . Downside was that nothing to eat on a 5hr tour and prev. reviews lead you to think food included . Also our guide and driver obviously did not get along ,pity .

The weather was perfect for being on the double-decker bus and the boat. Rob was so enthusiastic and it was obvious he loved and knew the city. We learned the history and development of the island and also about the current culture. The drive around the city was great. The only suggestion might be to do the Highline Park first instead of last because it would have been nice to see it at sunset. The Top of the Rock was a part that I could have foregone for more time in Highline Park or at the sight of the One World Tower and environs.

Worst experience I've ever had with a Grayline tour. Customer service at their office was terrible -- management should investigate operation of 8th Ave office. Poor communication almost caused me to miss part of the tour. Guide had heavy accent difficult understand. Got to Chelsea Mkt AFTER CLOSED!

This was an amazing tour. The tour guide Esther was excellent. She was really informative and a nice person. She answered all our questions and was patient as we took our pictures. We even had time to eat before our last stop Top of the Rock. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be booking more tours for our next trip to NYC. The driver Jack was a nice guy too.

The best part of this tour was the boat tour and the Top of the Rock pass. The tour guide, however, was the problem. She did not seem like she wanted to be there and was very impersonal. I would recommend skipping this tour and just doing the Top of the Rock and a boat tour yourself or going with a different touring company.

The guide was knowledgable, the boat trip was amazing, but the walk in the park part was a bit too short, didn't see much. Overall though, if you don't have enough time in NYC, take this opportunity.

WE BOOKED THIS TOUR A YEAR AGO, AND SADLY ON ARRIVAL WE WERE INFORMED THAT ITEMS HAD CHANGED, REALLY ENJOYED THE BOAT TRIP ON THE HUDSON OUT AND AROUND THE STATUE OF LIBERTY AT SUNSET, AND THE END OF THE NIGHT 70 FLOORS UP ON TOP OF THE ROCK! THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING...._br/_ BUT DID NOT LIKE THE REST OF THE TOUR, FELT BUNDLED ABOUT AND RUSHED, ESPECIALLY TRYING TO ORDER A MEAL AND EAT IT IN A 40 MINUTE ALOTED TIME WHEN TRYING TO FIND FOOD MY HUSBAND COULD EAT AS LACTOSE INTOLERENT.

The tour was awesome. Sunset and night lights were gorgeous. It was breathtaking at times. Our bus driver was one of the most courteous people we encountered in New York and the tour guide was excellent too. Highly recommend it. However...a few tips about things that are out of the control of those two awesome gentlemen. 1 DO. NOT. BE. LATE. We had to turn around and go back for a group that was not where they were supposed to be. The lost time kept us from doing the High Line stop, which was my original drawing card to this tour. I cried a couple of times during the tour out of sheer disappointment because we were leaving the next morning and there was no time left. If I had known, I would have worked the High Line into our adventures on one of the other days we were there. We had plenty of time when we were on our own. We also had to rush through Chelsea Market. 2 Be prepared to watch Gray Line salesmen fight over customers on the sidewalk outside the ticket office. It was predominantly verbal, with a couple pushes, but it was still unsettling and extremely unprofessional. I wanted to hope it was an unusual occurrence but our tour guide said, It's New York. I could tell by the reaction of the management ?I assume? Dressed-up man with an earpiece! when he pulled one away from the other that it was not uncommon. Everyone went about their business after that. 3 Don't expect them to tell you where to be. You can wait out here or inside. You need to be inside! I'll find you when it's time. Conflicting instructions. This is the only thing that kept me from being very resesentful at the passengers we had to return for, who were there early, but were NOT where they should have been when it was time for us to leave. 4 IF you want dinner somewhere else, ask. This was a small group when we did the tour July 3, Monday night, and they did modify the trip. We didn't know a meal stop was part of the tour, so we had eaten in advance, then just didn't want to have to eat at and pay for the restaurant THEY wanted to take us to. The other group wanted to eat at a specific restaurant, so they were dropped off near their restaurant and we were taken directly to Top of the Rock to continue with our tour. I tried to get them to take us to the High Line instead of dinner but the bus driver's contract was about to end so it was not an option. We had a senior adult with us and I wanted it to be as special as possible for her so I shielded her from most of this. She didn't even know about the High Line and how disappointed I was. It took away from my experience, personally. But again, the views, the boat ride, the comfort of the fancy bus, the guides...they were all fantastic and would have earned 5 stars without the other issues. Enjoy!

Love this tour of the city at night! Went to the Highline area, over to Chelsea Market and had dinner on our own dime, then checked out many of the neighborhoods in the city and the history of how the city developed. Our guide was extremely interesting and made the history come alive! Then took a Lady Liberty hour cruise and saw the city all lite up - along with watching the Statue lighting up. Our last stop was Top of the Rock Rockefeller Plaza and the the beautiful sights of the entire city were lite up to our delight. One interesting thing to note is, if the weather is bad and you couldn't see the city, the ticket was good for about 2 weeks after our tour.

I loved New York and cannot wait to return however, I felt this tour was disappointing. When we booked it included a meal, several days after booking we were advised the meal had been removed from the tour. We had very comfortable transport to the high line which was interesting though would probably be better seen in summer. The harbour cruise was good with plenty of photo opportunities. I would say it went down hill from this point. A visit to Grand central station was turned into a meal break, don't get me wrong the station is awesome but not somewhere I would choose to eat on a cold winter evening. There were lots of what appeared to be homeless people sat around, not bothering anyone but filling the downstairs area where the guide had suggested we eat, also some of the eating venues were closing for the night. We were then taken to the top of the rock and given enterance tickets and told we could stay as long as we wanted and the guise left. This is not a particularly cheap tour and just did not fulfill our expectations.

This tour was a bit disjointed and parts of it cancelled at the very last minute. The highlight was the cruise no glass of champagne though out to the Statute of Liberty at night.

Our tour guide, Lee, was very knowledgeable, but he was talked way too fast and was sometimes hard to hear. He took us to interesting places that we hadn't been to before. The Statue of Liberty at night was beautiful. Note that the bay cruise says that you get a glass of champagne, but there was none -- there hadn't been any all week. Also, we bought the tour because dinner was included two days beforehand we were notified that dinner would not be included, but another alternative was not included. We ended up stopping for dinner after 9:30 pm, Grand Central Station, where almost all food stands were closed. We were given 30 minutes to eat, and that just wasn't enough time. Also, after the Top of the Rock, which is beautiful, you are left in Rockefeller Center to find your way back to your hotel, which was rather daunting at night. A better idea would have been to deliver us back to the pick-up location. Overall, this was a fun tour, unorganized, but fun.

The trip was good except due to traffic we never got our walking tour of the Highlands and had to run to meet our boat, so the first 2 hours were spent in a tight van where the tour guide spoke WAY too much. However, the rest of the trip was delightful.

WOW what a way to see New York. Bonnie our guide was excellent, in history and city knowledge. Tour of the city with her comments really set the stage for the next three days of our stay in the city. Boat ride in the harbor was EXCELLENT. Italian dinner was a little lean but adequate. Only negative is on being dropped off at the Top of the Rocks tour guide did not help with getting past ticket lines and failed to mention that pocket knifes were not allowed, The top of rocks staff gave us a pass for another day.

First of all our tour was late getting started and so we lost time on part of the high line tour. We didn't get to see Chelsea market. The second below par experience was the dinner at the Italian restaurant. It was more a one course light lunch than a dinner. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

This was a really great experience. Our guide was lee and he knew so much it was hard to keep up with everything he told us. The bus trip was comprehensive. The high line trip was good. The boat trip was excellent, we saw the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island with plenty of photo opportunities. The food was ok not a huge selection nor over generous but quite adequate. The Top of the Rock at night was superb, even though we had already been there in the daytime it was still worth going at night. I would say not for younger children as it finishes so late plus there's not a lot to keep them interested.

Tour was very good we left on time in a comfortable small bus. Guide was very nice, knowledgeable and entertaining. _br/_ Because the boat was late, we were a bit rushed for dinner but managed to get to the Rockfeller center in time for viewing NY by night._br/_ Restaurant in Little Italy: Although apparently well reputed, we found it appalling! the food was less than acceptable. We ordered the steak which was like rubber and we could not even chew/swallow it. Had to waste it and no time to ask for another dish. The vegetables served with it were skimpy and we had to buy dinner after the tour as it felt like we had nothing to sustain us. Limited choice of drinks only sodas.... yak. Because of that, am downgrading the rating. Tour is worth doing but can definitely be improved as far as choice of restaurant/meal is concerned.

What an excellent evening that exceeded my expectation. If visiting NY you must see NY at night. I can't think of a better way to see NY at night then Viator's New York City Night on The Town Tour. The dinner in Little Italy was excellent and the highlight of the evening was the cruise around Manhattan that also went out to the Statue of Liberty.

There were 14 of us for this tour, which the guides determined was too many for one group. The first 8 left on time, but our van was stuck in traffic and did not arrive for another 20 minutes. The guide then had to go get her bag, so we finally left around 6:25 after being told to be there by 5:30. Since we left late, we only had 15 minutes at the High Line park. We were told we were guaranteed priority boarding for the boat tour, but when we got there, there were several other groups there and there was a lot of confusion. We had to remind them about the drink tickets, otherwise they would have been forgotten. The boat tour guide was great - gave a lot of history about the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, and the new World Trade Tower. The views of each of these made the whole night worthwhile, and was really the best part. We got some great pictures. Next was the dinner in Little Italy. By the time you get there, it's 9:00pm. We were given a menu of 8 choices, one course only, so no salad or dessert. My chicken was good, but my husband's linguine was nothing special. The other choices are either a salad, a Caesar salad no chicken, or other pastas and sauce. We were very disappointed with the restaurant - I think everyone on the tour was expecting something more. After, we had time to walk around Little Italy, so we found a pastry/ice cream shop, and had the best cannoli I've ever had. Then we headed to Top of The Rock. It was crowded, but we were able to get inside quickly due to being with the tour. Again, we got some good pictures. For 200 for both of us. and from all the good reviews, I really thought this would be better. From not knowing where our van was and leaving late, the confusion at the boat tour, and the frequent opinions instead of history and facts that our tour guide gave, it was an odd night. It didn't seem very professional overall.

It was absolutely wonderful and our guide was exceptional. She made us feel as we were family just there visiting and she was extremely attentive to us and very knowledgeable. She deserves a raise a huge one. I have phobias and fears with anxiety, never once did I experience any of them on the tour with her. She made us feel extremely comfortable and like I said family visiting for the first time. We will definitely be coming back and booking everything through you guys with her as our guide.

This tour was a great value! The company that gives the tour was not the most professional and the wait and lack of direction can easily discourage you for proceeding BUT proceed. Once you are actually on the tour fingers crossed you get Donna it was great for the amount. The best parts are the boat ride and the Top of the Rock at the end of the night.

Excellent tour! We started our evening with a walk through Chelsea Market, followed by a short walk on the High Line. We then reloaded the tour van for a drive to the harbor and a cruise under the Brooklyn Bridge and around the Statue of Liberty. The skyline views while on the cruise were fantastic. Our tour guide Bonnie was a native New Yorker. She was very knowledgeable and gave an informative history of New York during all of our drive times, all while keeping the tour lighthearted and fun. After the harbor cruise, we drove through Chinatown and to Little Italy for dinner. We had time after dinner to walk to one of the many Italian bakeries for dessert if we chose to do so. After dinner, we were dropped off at Rockefeller Center to experience some incredible nighttime views.
